RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

I'm putting the finishing touches on my Shrike 10 and the instructions aren't very helpful in describing where the landing wires are supposed to be attached in the tail. The main skid is simple...

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

I am putting my battery in the far back on mine. The elevator servo is going in on its side as far back as possible and my Shrike is still going to be a little nose heavy. Does anyone know how...

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

Mine is the Shrike .10 and I went with the .40 LA because I had it on hand. I bought it brand new off ebay for under 40 bucks. The .46 LA would be even better - a little more power and slightly...

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

TomC,

The Shrike neither builds nor flys like a second plane. I'm guessing most wouldn't recommend it as a second kit. With that said, it honestly isn't a difficult build. Don't let the...

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

I moved the firewall back a full inch. The spinner backplate is basically the same place as stock. I decided to go back a full inch after reading so many posts where people ended up dealing with a...

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

Well here are some pics of my almost completed Shrike 10. It has the .40 LA on the nose that I spoke about early on in this thread.

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

piper_chuck, good idea with the Shrike weights. That would be interesting. Too bad we can't get radar gun readings of the various setups as well...

RC-FEIND, a little throttle management will...

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

RC-FEIND, your comment got me thinking about the weight of the .40 LA. I will be on the upper end for weight but I will definitely be lighter than Daryl_y's Super Tigre powered Shrike. I was looking...

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

RC-FIEND,

Guess I may as well join the club. I have a Shrike 10 kit in my workshop waiting to be built that will be powered by a O.S. .40 LA. I picked up the engine brand new from someone who...
