RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I don't know if any decals will stand up to hockey tape, if appled right. I have always had trouble with hatch tape ripping my decals off.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Why not just get the upgrade water jacket from offshore, it's cheaper than getting a new motor. But it looks like a good replacement motor if needed.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I just heard back from Steve, he said to max it at about 12 cells, so I guess I won't be running it on 14 cells. I will report how fast it is on 12 cells.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I didn't try an XL version for two reasons. One, Steve said the 12L is faster than the Stock motor, and the stock motor will push this hull beyond its limits anyway with 14 cells therefore the 12L...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I just bought a Feigao 12L from offshoreelectrics.com. Steve from OSE recommends it and says he sells it as a replacement all the time and he said it is faster than the stock motor.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Thats cool that they are doing that and a fair price as long as they do good quality control on the production line. It has been an issue with the RTR.s. But I would think it should be fine because...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Lets back up here a second. You said the boat did a circle by itself? That is definitely a radio problem. It could be some interference in your area of the lake you are running at. A good FM radio...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

For recreational sport running I would get the IB3600's. They are great batteries and that is what I am running. Get the 4200's if you are planning on racing. They are more maintenance.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

What batteries are you running? This boat will not do well with cheap batteries. What happens with cheap batteries is that they are not matched very well and the cell with the lowest voltage will...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

The best way I have seen so far is to bring a cheap boat and a fishing pole. The attach the fishing line to the back of the boat and go out to the dissabled boat and circle it 3/4 the way around it....

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

You are right, I missed that. But I do like the bend better so it gets the tubing started on its outward curvy way;) for the bend before it goes through the transom.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

That water picup needs a slight bend at the top for the tubing to fit better. I have some like that, but they came with a bend at the top.

Yeh, SV27dayton, I like YOUR idea about taking the...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I understand that they are sort of tuned. So you should use the stock antenna that came with it. If you lose or break it, order another stock one.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I did mount a piece of balsa in the bottom that the servo and esc mounts to. They are both mounted with hot glue. The hot glue is holding VERY WELL. As far as turning the servo around, I don't...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Here are some better pics. I hope they are clear. I still have some work to do. I am going to install a separate new water pickup on the transom and run all Aquarium air tubing. I am also going to...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I did mention it in either this thread or another one. WHen I took out the water proof box, I cut and glued in a piece of balsa wood where the box used to be. There are little wood rails that help...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

If you ever go lipo, there is a very inexpensive and light Lipo Save available on the market. I think It should be our choice if we want the cut off or not. The problem is, the stock esc is not...
