RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

That is what I'm asking. What 240s do you have? There is more than one brand of 240s. But who knows, maybe they are made by the same manufacture.

I have the 240s and 160s that are both from HK....

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

Are you asking for a comparison between the HK 160s and HK 240s, or someithing else?

My back order is now fulfilled, I also have the 240s. I like to have a variety with all my planes.

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

Welcome, glad to have you aboard!

Good choices. I love these littler birds. They are actually what got me back into flying. I started out with the PZ Cessna, then got the Vapor, then the Ember,...

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

No worries.
I was just saying, I'm a pretty good pilot and I was not having fun in 5mph winds. I am also the type that doens't like to fly iin weather colder than 55deg weather.

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

Ok, everyone listen up. srt10 is an expert flyer.
So for you average flyers out there, be warned that more than 3mph wind is too much for FUN flying, unless you like a constant challenge to keep...

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

5mph really isn't any fun, it is a battle. Maybe you like that kind of challenge, but not me.
I would say, no more than 3mph and it is still fun.

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

Something must be up, because my P-51 is way faster than my Sukhoi with 5043 prop.

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

That's true. My LHS would give me a new one right off the shelf and send in the plane them selves.

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

If you picked it up from your LHS, you could have taken it back to them

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

I have flown the Super Cub and it doesn't handle any better than the Ember, Mini Cessna or Citabria.
Another thing, you can't fly your super cub in your front yard, but you can fly the above...

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

The supercub is way over his initial price. He just wants to see if he likes flying and the planes we are talking about above are better choices.

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

I don't know how we got on the subject of building planes, maybe I missed something? If this is your first, you should definitely get a RTF or at least a PNP.
The PZ mini P-51 would be a good...

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

No the 5e can't save multiple settings, you are right.
Not really a big advantage, other than the fact that it will feel better in your hands, more like a real RC plane radio.
I also don't...

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

merx9 here is the scoop.
Yes the main difference between the BNF and the RTF is they RTF comes with the radio, and yes it is the radio you are looking at. If you have a little extra money, the best...

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

Tim,
Did you leave your aileron connecting rods at their stock setting or did you move them?
Mine are still at their stock setting. She rolls slower than the Sukhoi, but I know that is normal...

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

Tim,
That is so strange that your P-51 dives in a roll. Mine does not and I have heard several others that doesn't either. Actually, you are the only one that I have heard say that. Maybe something...

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

Well, if the wing is cheap enough, I would try it. But I would tape it on instead of gluing it, in case I didn't like it.
anyone have a link of the seperate wing?

Edit; I just did the...
