I didn't do any extra reinforcing but the nacelles are glued on. (P-40 is the Top Flite ARF)

Here's how i did the KMP. Just used a 1/4 20 bolt and blind nut which both secures the outer wing panel and acts as an anti-rotation pin. Access is through the main gear well.

Here's what I did with mine - nothing special really. The servo arm just needs to be longer than the control horn to give the servo the mechanical advantage. I used 4/40 wires for hookup. One...

As you can see I only have the nose door installed. Not really noticable in flight .Will work on the main doors after I get some more flights. I have all the stuff.

I did use the flaps and had a fairly steep approach but was late with the flare and was fighting the ailerons. It was , after all, the 1st landing. The structure looks strong enough but the rails...

Success! Maidened today. Got a little behind on landing and broke out a gear - clean break though. A couple other minor fixes to do - but overall good 1st flight. Pics coming soon.

Congrats on your maiden! I'm still sneaking up on mine. Ran 3 tanks through the Fujis but they need some more run time yet. Had a long punch list to fix after the first runs. Also got it balanced...

Just finished balancing mine. I used 5" back from the LE at the fuse which gave me a 15% static margin (used since the gear retracts aft). I originally had my 4500mah pack mounted to a plate inside...

My nose gear has springs installed to keep the wheel centered . She's up on her feet for the 1st time! (also a before pic for contrast)

A little more paint. Back markings are painted on - still need the red. Front are decals. Pilot wondering how he's going to fit in there!

Okay - here comes one of the hard questions. The instructions say to epoxy in the fuel tank. I know nobody did that. How did you all secure your tanks?

The Hellcat has flown twice now. Both times ended up with gear partially retracted on landing causing some damage. Got to get to that soon.
