Redundancy is not the best word to use here... I think having an rx battery that is separate from the motor battery is a good idea. Any failure in the motor system, batter, ESC, etc should still...

I use a separate rx battery on my giant electrics 1/3 scale L-4 and 1/4 scale Fokker DVII... It just seems better to have redundancy.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have a pics of your setup? Using a second rx for the floats is a cool idea. I would also like to see how you rigged the rudder retracts.

Did you have any issues when assembling the floats? I have been assembling mine and many of the measurements for the brace wires are off a little from the manual...

This is what I did. Getting the muffler out from under the cowl can be a little tricky. You need to wiggle it around until it drops out. On the other side you only need to remove the velocity...

Okay I went and looked again and I can see the label in my ignition battery. I guess this means it's installed backwards... :eek:
