No, the bearin chase supports the collar. These collars are included in the parts when you purchase the Hacker Motor. It's to replace the e-clip when you reverse mount the motor. The E-clips pull off...

Thats it! It took me 20 minutes to make this one. and a HECK OF A LOT cheaper than the HL plastic set. Time for bed now... Tomarrow we'll mount the blades and setup the system on the plane.

Another shot. You can see the coller on the back of the motor in this one. This is needed to keep the shaft from pulling out of the end bell under the MASSIVE POWER!

Apply some white lithium greese to the control pushrod and slide it through the motor. Snap the ball ends onto the Pitch arms...

I used 1/16" SS rod for the pushrod. to 1/16" wheel collers on the end and a control horn. You NEED to get a bearing and drill out the inside of the control horn to match the bearing. Place a 1/16"...

Apply some white lithium greese to the inside of the blade holders. NOTE: These are BALL BEARING HOLDERS!!!! Not the cheapy stuff you see on the "Production" VPP stuff coming out.

Slide the Tail rotor set onto the shaft. It's a perfect fit for the 3mm shaft and no machining will be needed. Tighten the set screw on the shaft.

Slide the can and stator/endbell back together. You'll want to allow a 3/16" piece of the shaft to protrude from the rear of the can, and the remainder out the front. (3/16" not seen in this picture)...

Use a Dremel tool or a hacksaw to cut off the 3mm hollow shaft at the mark. Bevel the end slightly with some sand paper to allow pressing back onto the bell.

To remove the shaft from the can, tap it out lightly with an awl or wood dowel. Mark the 3mm Tube to the same length as the original shaft.

After the E-clip is removed, the motor can and shaft can be slid from the Stator and endbell. A small amount of force will be needed to overcome the magnetic pull between the parts.
