exactly right! I painted the canopy black from the inside and tape it on with white electrical tape.... screwing it on just makes it crack. I really want a version 3 plane with the latch on canopy.

Steve,

I think you need to make a list..... you could probably fill a container and do one more production run. I would even be willing to put down a deposit. Version 3 really was the best Prop...

To bad.... The F-16, especially version 3 was a winner.... it was way better and faster than version 2. Even I would buy a version 3 if you put them out again. I started this thread with the version...

We have beat the version 2 canopy thing to death with steve chao.... if you have the version 2 screw on canopy.... like Me.... you are SOL! they are not making any more! I tape mine on with white...

Version 1 was the old pattern version, you can see mine on the JETT site towards the bottom of the Hall of Fame page.

Version 2 has the screw on canopy and the mechanical retracts.

sounds like you have version 3. Version 2, like mine, has a crapy screw on canopy and good electro-mechanical retracts.

Check around for the CG.... I do not want to give you the wrong...

I just installed and flew My F-16 with a new Airtronics RDS8000 radio and reciever. I have been using Futaba for 25+ years and was looking to switch to 2.4GHZ. The RDS8000 came at the right time.

I agree... I have version 2... It does not need flaps. In fact few R/C planes really benefit from them at all!

Flaps do a lot. first.... they change the camber or shape (cross section) of the wing... basicly turning a high speed wing into a slower speed wing. The camber change reduces the stall speed of the...

send us a pic of the new Wheels... Should be interesting what they came up with.... the aluminum hubs were cool but that combination with the foam rubber wheels did not work very well.

I had an idea after looking at your post again!

We may be able to Fiberglass the existing canopy.... before it is completely in pieces.... paint it black with white trim like I did with mine and...

I am currently taping mine on with white trim tape... it helps... but the cracks were already there and are getting worse. Also the tape sometimes takes the paint off the canopy and is a PAIN to get...

The screw on version of the canopy cracks around the screw holes. It was a bad design so they changed it a few months in mid production to the latch type canopy.... leaving some of us hanging without...

Does anyone out there have a wrecked VERSION 3 F-16 out there with the canopy still somewhat intact that they do not want... I need to get some measurements off it to see if i can get it to fit the...
