RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Before you bend the trim tabs down, have you checked the COG? Put the batteries in the boat where you would normally run them & then slide the boat back on its stand until it tips backward. Mark...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Best all round prop is probably the X440/3 B&S. For speed the X642 i beleive is good, but isn't as stable in turns. There is a whole prop thread for the SV27, have a look in there.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

If you unplug 2 of the leads and swap them around, the motor will run backwards, BUT if you run it with the flex shaft connected you will unwind it & cause all sorts of damage to your driveline. ...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

these boats were designed to turn right, not so much left. boat races run around a clockwise oval. adding a left turn fin will improve the left hand turning, but turns to the right will still be...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I believe this boat was originally designed to get people into the sport cheeply so they could enjoy racing at a low cost. Most races don't last much longer than about 2 minutes max. The fact that...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I just epoxied the wood, no point in adding excess weight where it isn't needed. I also took all the hardware off the back & put some sealant on the screws when I put them back in.

you want the balance point around 30% from the transom.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

The OSE ones should be a direct swap for the stock ones. just bolt them on to the same holes. then run it & adjust it untill the boat rides properly on the water.
