RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I've had the F-22 for a few years and have a lot of flights on it. I use an old ST 45 on mine which is plenty of power. The whole "secret" to the plane is to take out the downthrust in the engine -...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

i have had the F-22 for about 3 years and have probably 60 flights one it with no problems, after taking down thrust out of engine. I never used the flaps and run a ST GS 45 which is plenty of power....

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

It's much cheaper, easier and more realiable to just move the servo arm to the other side so both servos (on flaps I assume) work in unison -

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Larger engines do not mean more speed, in many cases it just means more weight - the fastest plane I've flown had a 40 in it - 165 MPH -

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

As mentioned way earlier in my post, it's not the size of the engine - it is just a matter of taking out the downthrust. Mine flew perfectly with an old Super Tigre 45, fast and light - 50+ flights,...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I've flown the F-22 for about 2 years and many flights. Never flew it with wing extensions, and don't see the need for flaps. The plane did not fly that well when new, adding upthrust to mine made...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I personally use only APC props which required little to no balancing, unlees they are nicked or damaged, and then you should replace them -

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Putting foam around the tank is always a good idea, however in this case there isn't much room. You may also want to check and make sure your engine and mount is tight, also make sure prop is...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Guys, Just to let you know, the whole "secret" to getting this plane to fly right is not a bigger engine - it is simply taking out the down thrust. When I first got this plane and flew it, it was a...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I bought the F-22 about 3 months ago and have about 50 flights on it. Bought off of ebay cheap to try something different. ST 45 with 10/6 APC, no droops or flaps. After the first few flights, I...
