When I did the electrics (retracts) on my Jackal and came down to adjusting the cables I thought...... there must be a better way.

Like I said, would love to see how you did yours. =)

Thanks for the info guys.

Started to check balance today and was disappointed to see I'm going to need 6+ ounces in the tail. (thats a LOT of Battery!) Heck even with 6.1ozs I'm still forward...

Started to setup the Radio on my Jackal (DX7). Just have had no free time at home lately but hope with flying weather coming......

Anyways do you guys thing they got the elevator/aileron specs...

They still popup on E-Bay from time to time. You might need an extension <like I did on my Kougar> to run it on say the 60NX and the Jackal. It has a very short face runner vs say the Jett.

Just a FYI and take it for what it's worth.

I ran up a 55AX today on my test stand. This is supposedly low time motor (good pinch still) that I changed the bearings (rust) on.

@ sea level...

Fitted my wings tonight.....ugh .. way too tight. The remedy was to file the fuse where the metal spar goes through? I cant seat my wings deep enough for the front guide pins to pass through those...

Couple of fellows building the Jackal Electric on that other forum. One guy claims close to 5KW of power.

That should more than keep up with the 2 strokes, more like hand us a *ss...

If you change the clock position of your flap servo arms ( point them @ the flaps) are the supplied 2-56 rods long enough?

Also I have my doubts the rods are actually 2-56 and not some metric...

I think there is some confusion there.

The engine is the 60NX not the .61NX.

My 60NX with Jett muffler weighs 18ozs (just weighed it)

Just wanted to add something. Earlier in this thread I reported the Jett muffler my Pal received with his Jett 56 was blue in color. I was dead wrong as my Bud reminded me it was a off gold color. ...

Put in the rudder today. Either my hands are too big (to screw the horn on the rudder torque rod) or I'm just getting old and cranky! Not very fond of the final operation <821 servo is working at...

Having only used 81's on electrics, and a BEC set to below 6V perhaps thats why I have not seen a problem.

In any event thanks for the heads up, and Ill keep an eye on the 225s on the ailerons. ...
