Check the voltage with a voltmeter. I have found this:

Fully Recharged Voltage = 12.55
Freshly Drained Voltage = approx. 11.00 - 11.35

("Freshly Drained" is when the DF4 needs more than...

n6nev, any idea HOW to replace the motor? I mean, do you have to unsolder the wires from the motor? Or are there clever little tiny connectors inside the CF rod to make this process easier?

Why cant you just plug the video out from the DF4 Receiver into the video in on a normal VHS recorder? It doesn't have to be a camcorder...
