RE: AMA District X Special Election

You are being obtuse now. You know perfectly well that the "we" I was speaking of are the "we" that comprises the members of District X. If "we", the voters in District X cannot ask questions then it...

RE: AMA District X Special Election

On the subject of negative campaigning, I find it interesting that questioning ideas and qualifications is considered negative. What exactly are we allowed to do? Simply accept campaign statements at...

RE: AMA District X Special Election

As has been pointed out numerous times this forum is for an open discussion of ideas relative to AMA matters. By your standards none of Larry's posts are allowed either since AMA policy only allows...

RE: AMA District X Special Election

I'm repeating myself now.

I have said my piece. I am voting for Mike Brown because he has proven to me that he has the dedication, time, and experience to represent District X.

I urge...

RE: AMA District X Special Election

I am not working aginst the idea, I just want to know how the proponents plan to make it happen.

Once again, How?? Will the EC fund it? Will the funds come from District X members only...

RE: AMA District X Special Election

That's great, but what about the details?? Wishing and hoping are all really nice, but just how do you, or anyone, see this as actually happening??

RE: AMA District X Special Election

I see the value but recognize the reality of the low probability of it happening. Which is why I think it is fair to ask specific questions about how Mr. Tougas plans on making it happen.

RE: AMA District X Special Election

I have said this before. A District flying site was tried before. Many people put a lot of long hard years of work into it and it ended up DOA. My concern is ignoring the lessons that history teaches...

RE: AMA District X Special Election

Jon's response above shows this to be incorrect.

Allow me to take issue with you on this point. I have pointed out my disagreement with your platform in the past, and as such I assume...

RE: AMA District X Special Election

I do not think that anyone feels that attracting younger people is the only way to grow and maintain membership, I think it is at least worth pursuing. I started in this hobby at age 11 after...

RE: AMA District X Special Election

Well, no, I did not. I simply stated that operationally the TIMPA site is run similar to what a District site would be run like. It has hosted numerous large events (Tucson Aerobatic Shootout for...

RE: AMA District X Special Election

District X already has an existing facility that comes fairly close to being a District flying site. The TIMPA field outside of Tucson, Arizona.

RE: AMA District X Special Election

Arbitrary or not it was his decision to make and his alone. That is simply how it is. As an AVP I can give the DVP my opinion, but in the end it is the DVP who makes the decision.

As are...
