I found It wasn't 'till I turned 50 that it became easier to admidt any problem probably could be traced right back to me.

IMHO Laser Cut Kits are about as good as it gets.

The Sig Somethin' Extra is an example. The laser cut wood pieces fall out of the sheets.

In view of the good luck others have had with MDS engines and the bad luck YOU have had I would suggest you stick with an easy to own and operate brand like OS.

On my ringed engines I always take a piece of 400 wet or dry sandpaper, wet it with WD-40 and sand a light cross hatch pattern back into the cylinder.

Quality control issues are a thing of the past with MDS engines. It never ceases to amaze me how these rumors grow legs and keep coming back year after year.
