Hey Pete, Maybe you're the guy to ask this question. I plan on putting an Evo 1.00 on my 94" Senior Telemaster. It showed up on my doorstep today. Anyway, I was thinking of using a smoke system with...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Yes!!! It flies!!!! It fly's very well. I can't believe the power difference. The plane practically goes vertical. It won't go straight up for long, it does eventually stall out, but the power...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Just thought I would report back on the gearbox ratio for the Parkzone Cub. It is a 5.33:1 ratio. (12 turn pinion, 64 teeth on prop gear = 64/12 = 5.33:1 ratio) I just placed my order for the...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Thanks for the replies. I will have to pull the front off of my J-3 and do some counting. I think I will definately try a brushless setup in this plane. Thanks again.

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Did someone once say they put an E-Flight Park 370 brushless in the Cub as a replacement motor?? If so, did you re-use the pinion off of the old motor, or did you use something different. What is the...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Here are a few photos of my conversion. I used a Dubro micro tailwheel bracket and a small rubber with a metal hub tailwheel that I bought from tower. I cut off the foam tailskid, painted the bare...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

I use a GWS 9x7 and it flies great. The plane has a lot more get up and go, and can penetrate the wind better with the GWS Prop (the stock one is an 8x4). Unfortunately, the larger prop takes away...

RE: PARKZONE SUPER DECATHLON

HA! HA! You're right. Unfortunately, a company like Horizon Hobby (Parkzone, Hobbyzone) is motivated by the almighty dollar. It's economics. I do like the idea that they sell ready to fly planes....

RE: PARKZONE SUPER DECATHLON

I'm not heated. Just feeling a bit sarcastic. It was definately a Monday at work. I read your other post regarding the Cub and flying near a dome or something like it under the lights. Good Post....

RE: PARKZONE SUPER DECATHLON

Because you can. That's why. I personally own 3 of the cubs, one is stock, the other modified, and one is still in the box. It's just another plane to fly, thats all. I plan on trying the Decathlon...

RE: Anyone fly the Hobbico Superstar EP

I like my SuperStar EP. I think it flies well, and seems to have good tendencies. Mine will also glide forever, and will fly with very little throttle. It's pretty cool. Just watch out for the...

RE: PARKZONE SLO-V?

You might as well stand on a cliff and throw your money over the side. I bought the cosmic flyer for my son and all it is good for is a paper weight. Sorry, just my opinion.
