RE: Power for H9 P-47 60 size ARF

I have the Hanger 9, P-47. It is powered with a RCV 91CD 4-stroke motor that hauls it very well, close to scale like in the air. It doesn't require a lot of runway with the RCV 91CD.
It's a great...

RE: Water Base Primer

While I personally have not tried it yet, there is a great article in the March 2013 issue of Model Airplane News on refinishing a foam P-47.

I am presently refinishing a Park Zone F4U Corsair...

Very nice work on the Spitfire & FW-190 SnakeBT6! Very professionally done. I appreciate your feedback. I'll have to try the sticky note. I've tried electric tape, and it worked with some paint...

RE: Club events, do your club volunteers have to pay to fly?

We're very fortunate in the Paducah, KY area to have a well manicured & rolled grass field over 300 ft long, two C/L circles, and a open pavilion that is some 70 feet long, on the county landfill....

RE: Club events, do your club volunteers have to pay to fly?

We have a very unusual club of about 60 members. We are quiet diversified in that we have R/C, C/L & Free-flight. All of our club members pay a landing fee when flying at a club sponsored event...

RE: Painting Park Zone Foam War Birds

Yeah, I'm aware that PZ has the drop tanks, and I think they would look cool in flight, but wonder how much drag they would induce, and don't think they would go to well on grass take-offs and...

RE: Painting Park Zone Foam War Birds

Very nice color scheme on that Corsair Redback. I had looked at that scheme myself and a postwar grey, white & black USA version before I settled on the British color scheme.

RE: Painting Park Zone Foam War Birds

I'm thinking like you as well, that latex would be quiet heavy.

Here is the scheme I have chosen to use.

RE: Painting Park Zone Foam War Birds

Thanks for the feedback H5606. You have made a very nice looking T28.

Have you ever heard of anyone using latex on the PZ foamy warbirds? I have heard of wet newspaper being used for masking...

Painting Park Zone Foam War Birds

I have found that "Experience is a hard teacher. She always gives the test first, and the lesson some time later," thus the reason for this post.

I'm sure this has been addressed before, but I...

RE: Irvine 53 - 2 Stroke Needle settings Help

Thanks for the feedback Ed.

I'm aware that each engine must be tuned differently due to the variables you mention, as well as weather.

What I am in need of is the high and low needle...

Very nice looking airplane. I'm just a bit prejudice to those wonderful racing monoplanes and pursuit planes of the 30's, and those wonderful WWII birds, so, I'm looking forward to more photos and a...

RE: Seagull planes

I agree wholeheartedly. Seagull makes well built and good flying models that are economical to purchase, but a little lacking on in the manual. I've had 3 or 4 of their models and just started their...

RE: TF Spitfire Mk9 - RCV 90sp or??

I have a RCV-91CD on a Hanger 9, P-47 and it performs great, very scale and sounds great. I'm slinging a two-bladed prop, the largest recommended for the RCV-91CD. I think it's a 14X6, and I think it...
