The thought of using avgas has nothing to do with...

The thought of using avgas has nothing to do with carbon, it has everything with letting the lead cushion and lubricate the impact of the valve to the seat to perhaps lessen the valve wear shown...

I wonder is running avgas would help with the valve issues since the lead is there to help lube the valves.
The spark plugs will have to be cleaned occasionally, but small price to pay.

Does anyone know why Horizon has discontinued the rear cover(intake plenum) and the cover disc(the one in question)?
They are not available currently.
I wonder if Saito is doing a redesign??

I do not think the oil collection is an issue. YS 4 strokes run with a sealed crankcase and they do not have excess oil pooling in the crankcase.

So if I am reading the last few pages right, the Saito 60 is offand unequal geometrically, but Saito did not account for that with ignition timing? Then to top that off, they are running 45-50...

Cant speak to Jeti, but there was more precise feel when going from Futaba FASST to DMSS.
There is also a difference between the JR XG14 and the XG11. The XG11 has twice the resolution of the 14...

Pretty impressive. That is stronger than an OS Hanno on the same prop and fuel. They always turned a 12x12 at 9600 rpm.

Old thread I know. When you guys are measuring the pipe length, are you measuring from the face of the piston in the exhaust port or from the glow plug?
