RE: Stupid flying put plane in tree

I crashed a Spacewalker in a river once. A boat came by and picked it out of the water for me. I let the reciever dry out along with all the other components, and they worked just fine, until I...

RE: Stupid flying put plane in tree

Climb the tree, or find a kid that will do it. As far as the fishing pole, tie a tennis ball at the end of the line, it will be easier to hit the plane with, and not get tangled in the tree as easy...

RE: Hobbico Fuel Pump

I ended up mounting mine on an inverted 45. That way I only have about 3 inches of tubing to the jug. I just wanted to make sure I will not damage the seals so it would not prime in an odd...

Wing Bolts

I have a Flip 3d that I am getting ready to test fly. I bought it already assembled. On the way home, the metal wing bolts vibrated loose just riding in the back of my truck. I did not have the...

RE: Good Deal If Any One Needs A Flight Box

That is a nice looking box. I am going to try something a little different. My wife brought home some indoor poly, it does not say its polycrillic, but I figure it is. I coated it with that, and...

Hobbico Fuel Pump

Does it need to be mounted level, or can I mount it on a 45 degree or 90 degree angle on my field box without it leaking or having priming problems?

RE: Good Deal If Any One Needs A Flight Box

The GP field box, is cut exactly for the Hobbico II power panel. On my first one, I used a tower power panel and had to cut it for that one to fit, but not the second one with the Hobbico panel. It...

RE: Good Deal If Any One Needs A Flight Box

I think I am going to just hit it with a little 220 grit, and give it a shot of polyurathane and it will be to go. I wonder if that will hold up to glow fuel?

Good Deal If Any One Needs A Flight Box

I just got one of these, and for the price you can't beat it. Its not quite as big as the Great Planes Box I had, but that is 49.99...

RE: My son's first set-up, look okay?

I just had to laugh at myself. Up until a few months ago, everyone debated about the airfoil that a trainer had. Semi semi semetrical versus flat bottom, example Avistar vs a PT 40 design. Now its...

RE: My son's first set-up, look okay?

Retractable gear is what the 5th channel is for. Usually when you get to the point you need flaps, then you are ready for something like a 9C radio. The best thing about a computer radio besides...

RE: My son's first set-up, look okay?

Look at the right hand side, its says its available. And you can search to find shops that have them, or at least order them. I have not been flying for two years, and I am just getting back. I...

RE: parts for h9 super cub

Since it was discontinued, you might keep an eye in the classified section and pick a new plane cheap, and use that wing and have spare parts. You might call horizon, and see if they have any extras...

Thanks for the link. Are the CG listed in the manual correct? And the listed throws, are those the minimum throws? I assume max is as far as they will go. I cant wait to get this plane in the...

RE: Flying Field Airplane noise

Why not just get a couple of chain saws and run them while you are flying. This will legally raise the ambient niose and keep you from getting in trouble. Or you could get a hugh stereo or anything...
