RE: 14MZ in trainer mode

Well, I guess Bax is saying that in your case, just change both your model configuration on the 14MZ, and the Rx servo plug configuration to suit the standard, other Futaba Tx arrangement. That way...

RE: 14MZ in trainer mode

The MPX Royal Evo does this very nicely. Enter Teacher mode on the Evo and select channel 1, wiggle the student radio stick corresponding to that function and the Evo learns to use that channel. ...

RE: New 14MZ user's your thoughts

Backstab, while I understand the possible confusion over global switch assignment on the Evo, your example of fixed wing and heli is plain wrong! There are 5 separate assignment lists. One is...

RE: Frequency change on hitec optic 6

In the UK and most places outside North America you may do so provided you stay within the appropiate frequency band.

RE: Transmitter LiPo or NiMH

Might I suggest that 3v per cell cut-off is too low for a LiPo used in a transmitter? It may be appropiate for a pack used in propulsion at 5-10C or more, but at the comparatively low currents used...

RE: Super Nova 250S

The only easy way to find out is to try a different SupaNova. Have you measured the charger 12v supply yet whilst charging?

RE: Tail Servo Fluttering!!!!

Glad you got it sorted out. I had made the mistaken assumption you were already talking about 8611A on the rudder.

On the one time I have seen something similar, it turned out to be excessive...

RE: Tail Servo Fluttering!!!!

Things to try:-

Do they still flutter without the extension cords? If not then,

1. Check battery voltage under load. Try 5 cell instead of 4, or vice-versa.

2. Fit ferrite ring...

RE: gummed up motor

If it really is gumming up then heat and a little fresh fuel will nearly always free it up.

Gumming up is only usually a problem if an engine is left a long time after using castor based fuels....

RE: Swallow Advance Newbie Help

The NiMh cells when fully charged but after resting for 20mins or so would read in the region of 1.35v per cell. So either 6*1.35==8.1v, or 7*1.35==9.45v. Note in the 'region' of. It will vary a...

RE: Super Nova 250S

Your charge mAh figure only tells you what went in. The discharge figure is the meaningful one as that determines how long your model flies.

If you can't reach the charge amperage figure...

RE: nimh batterys

Yes, but it'll take some time to fully charge from empty. As a rough guide, charge it for 4 times as long as the original battery. So a 60mA wall charger would charge a 2400mAh battery in...

RE: Found two Triton problems??

1. So you're saying that after charging several times, you can't cycle through the charge history in the Data View Menu by turning the knob? If so I can't help you.

2. This is normal. The...

RE: ROYAL EVO DEFICIENCIES

The Evo 7 is the odd man out in the Evo range, and it's capabilities are heavily restricted as against the 9 & 12. Those have the ability to have separate D/R switches for R/A/E if you wish,...

RE: UCD 60 knife edge advice please!

Thanks for all the comments guys, I value your experience.

I take the point from those that say their UCD 60 was always difficult in KE, but that wasn't the case with my last one. Sure I know...

UCD 60 knife edge advice please!

I know many very knowledgeable U-Can-Do 60 folk hang around here so I'm asking for a little advice. I've had a UCD 60 with a 91FS for a year or so and generally enjoyed the experience. So when I...
