RE: My new Drifter (e30 m3)

Nice ride!

Does anyone know where I could get just the body? I would assume it is a 190mm...

RE: OFFICIAL NITRO DRIFTING THREAD

Haha, good to see you again ko. I did the same thing, went AWOL for about 6 months, just got too busy.

Why did you convert your car to electric?

RE: i need help drifting (pics)

Any one of the above comments about the need for a better r/c car was more helpful than what he said. I don't disagree, but it could have been phrased better. Everyone starts somewhere.

RE: 1:1 TRUCK DRIFTING VIDEO, SUPER SICK ILL DOPE TANDEM!

I destroy at least $300 in rear tires every month. I completely wasted (and I mean all the way down to the steel belts and structural rubber) a set of rears in less than 10 minutes at a recent event.

RE: So does ANYONE drift trucks?

Hey, whatever floats your boat. If you can drift it well, then its cool in my book. They aren't very well suited to it, but if you can make it happen, then yer all set.

I've never owned a...

RE: Drifting....Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Still not available in the US. As I mentioned on another thread, i have friends in japan, and we import things from time to time (1:1 car parts), but I might have them grab a kit for me next time and...

RE: Drifting....Hmmmmmmmmmm.

I like my 2-speed, actually. I have it set very low so I can use it to adjust angle more rapidly without steering input.

RE: Any suggestions of the best RC drifters?

Again, I agree about the TC3 (or 4). Its a true racing-caliber car, its easy to get parts for (both hopup and replacement), and its tough as hell. Its got all of the adjustability you could want, and...

In the future, keep things like that to yourself.

RE: Any suggestions of the best RC drifters?

I agree totally, its just an MR4-TC with some small parts (hubs that look like brake disks, fancy wheels, and of course the tires). Buy any good 4wd touring car and you'll be good to go. Their bodies...

RE: ? PVC or ABC Tires?

I never run my electrics in the rain, only nitro. And even then I seal it up to be safe.

RE: Drifting....Hmmmmmmmmmm.

there are several threads about it, but the short answer is: all you need is to modify the tires (wrap them in tape, buy the yokomo tires, or use ABS or PVC)

RE: Went drifting Sunday, very aggravating

I would suggest that you soften-up the car if you are running plastic tires (ABS, PVC, or plastic ringed tires like the yokomos), which it sounds like you are.

Reducing rear anti-squat can also...

RE: OFFICIAL NITRO DRIFTING THREAD

Right now I'm back to the ABS for my nitro drift as well, since I'm not interested in buying small expensive tires every week. For NTC3 I would just suggest tightening the rear diff a little tighter...

RE: Aluminum spoiler

Are you looking to make something functional? You are paying a weight penalty with aluminum that you don't pay with lexan.

As far as templates, I'm sure you would be just fine copying the...

RE: Drift/Grip

Hi Doug, welcome to the forums.

WHat will work best for you depends on what you plan to do with it. I you just want something to play with, then any 4wd touring car will be fine. I would make...

RE: Help With ABS

I just cut mine to the same width the the wheel, the file the edges just a little bit to round them (yeah, it makes it look more like a tire, but I really do it because it keeps the ABS from snagging...

RE: help im drifting

The TC3 was the best electric drift car, in my opinion. Easiest to maintain, simple proven design, race-quality, and top of the line parts. I have to believe that the TC4 is even better, so I'm...

RE: ? PVC or ABC Tires?

PVC and ABS are NOT the same plastic, they are actually very different compunds. ABS seems a little softer when used as a drift tire, and it looks like a tire, so that the only way to go as far as...

RE: New to RC, bought my self a drifter? advice

The pro 2 is fine. Its belt-drive, so be prepared to replace the belts at some point. My little beater drift car is an old Sport 2, which is the cheaper version of your car. If I recall correctly you...

RE: help im drifting

I'm not very familiar with Losi cars, but I think thats a 1:10 4wd touring car, so yeah, tape your tires or buy some 2" ABS and go drift! Thats all you need.

RE: Drift Tips

ABS is far less grip than taped tires. Try it, its fun.

I would overhaul the diffs and check for unequal suspension settings. To rule out damper issues I would drain them all and run them dry...
