RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '

Cali-T5,

Yes they include the drive pins, the drive hexs, and a hex nut for securing the wheel. In short everything you will need to bolt some 1/8th scale wheels onto your DBX.

For what it...

RE: Travelling on plane with truck?

I have flown with a Kyosho DBX as carryon a few times. Quite a bit larger than a Rammunition, so I would think the 1/18th should be ok. Your mileage may vary of course!

I took a normal sized...

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '

So when you are fully on the brakes the engine slows to the correct idle, but with the throttle at neutral the rpms increase slightly? Is that the case? Not knowing what you have checked, I will...

RE: Slow offroad 4WD platform for development

I recommend trying to find something used in decent shape once you have decided on the platform. No reason to pay new prices for what you are wanting to do :)

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '

I agree the wheel adapters are too expensive! $25 for 8 hex nuts, more or less... Being angry about the cost of that product caused me not to buy them for several months, even though I really...

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '

Superjimis,

I can't say I am very proud of the front shock tower, but yes I did make it :) I wanted to explore different mounting positions for the sock absorber, so I drilled up this piece of...

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '

Su3zero,

I have not tried Bowties on either 1/10th or 1/8th size wheels with the DBX. Bowties do not last very long here on the dirt we have, it is very hard and abrasive. I was looking for a...

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '

I went to the Nitro Pit here in Phoenix AZ late Friday night. Tons of fun. This is a fantastic 1/8th scale track with Huge jumps, lots of variety, and great people. I ended up breaking some parts,...

RE: $350 or less nitro RTR 1/8 buggy

Your thread and the answers regarding the Hyper 7 TQ Black made me ask a couple of questions of my own about OFNA buggies. Mostly, what are the differences between their many choices :) That thread...

RE: OFNA Buggies, so many choices but whats the difference?

No kidding! I never knew much about OFNA cars, but I never realized they were a distributor for several other companies. Thanks very much for the tip!

Still interested in opinions or...

OFNA Buggies, so many choices but whats the difference?

I have never owed an OFNA buggy, so I was hoping to tap into the extensive community knowledge base here :) This thread on RCU has a number of people recommending the OFNA Hyper 7 TQ Black as a...

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '

I understand what you are saying :) I think this aspect of off off road racing is what makes it so much fun. Faster isn't always better as you must be able to land the jumps correctly, so sometimes...

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '

I picked the clutch bell based on the torque curve of the engine over its usable rpm range and the kinds of speeds I might be able to accelerate to on the tracks I usually run. If I went with more...

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '

Ok, here is the parts list I used for the OS18TZ engine swap. Not saying that this is the best way or anything, just what I ended up using based off of what I could get.
