Update,
Have my answer and a copy of the instructions directly from Uwe.
Had it running yesterday stock standard on 5 cylinders until throttling up, then back to 4 so will do more tuning.

Hi Steve

Landings should be with flaps, speed and a soft touchdown as the ali gear is near its limits with the weight, a hard landing will see the gear bend which is my preference, less chance...

Stick with the recommended CG and dont worry about the weight it flies great, ours weighs in at 17kg (37lbs) as well.
The CG is measured from the wing LE proper, forget the small extra...

OK I understand what your saying, however I wouldn't put a 50cc in it, your choice, you will need to beef up the engine box, the landing gear mounts etc. I would class this plane as a nice easy...

Nah, I dont work for anyone but me.:)
I like plenty of power in my planes but 50cc would be a waste IMHO, although its a big airframe for the span its only lightweight, my MLD 28 drags...

Yep thats the exact same one, looks like he sells much of the same range as Austars.
30cc is a perfect size for this bird, I found that this plane was built everybit as good as any name...

Have not had any issues with mine, flies great, tows and will do rolls spins, stall turns etc no problem.
Mine is the original version and covering is not oracover as advertised but...

You will definately need to beef up the landing gear to handle the rabbits or a rough strip.
There is not much structure between the LG and the firewall.
There are a few spray system designs...

The 160 will be heaps of power for towing 2 mtr gliders for sure. This is a light weight airframe for its size so you dont need a lot of power. I have since beefed up the landing gear...

I had to use some aluminium sheet spacers to make them fit the retract as they are drilled for JR servo's.
This is one of the best flying warbirds around.
Really enjoy flying mine.

I just used Hitec retract servos (HS75BB) and they worked fine without any issue, you dont need reversed servo's to work at all just follow the instruction manual.
Always use HS75BB or GWS S136GM...

I recovered the wing with oracover(ultracote) and it was the best thing I did. This is my favourite covering that I use on everything.
I only wish I had recovered the fus before assembly as its so...

Heres some video's taken with a 2GB SD card tiny digital video camera that was taped to the tail of my DG600. Not bad for $30.
These were taken last Saturday so disregard the camera date its not...

Fitted pilot, 1/3rd scale, made and fitted all the decals, based on an American registration, the tow release system setup as a bridle release....
