RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

I hope you have steel cvds, and not the stock plastic ones. Duratrax cvd's are the best, I would recommend the non-threaded ones where you use a screw insted of a nut to fasten the wheel. CVD's...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get one with the extended chassis and consider one with threaded axles.

RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

It could be the esc then. I'm not too familiar with quarks, but I know they were one of the first sensorless esc's to be good at anti-cogging. I sonder if you can update the software or if the...

RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

How hot are your temps? You may be overgeared, especially with teh 6900kv. It may also be radio interference or a bad solder joint.

RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

The roadser 65 will be a great esc, as long as it fits alright. It should be comprable to a 1/10th sidewinder. The MM is closer to 90a give or take 10.

RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

At a quick glance they look like the kv rating is too high and the shafts are 2.3mm when they should be 3.2mm.

RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

See if it glitches without the lights running. You may want to consider putting a capcitor on your rx. Search novak glitch buster. You can build your own or buy it. Just a consideration...

RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

Is the battery fully charged? Maybe your rx is wanting more power. With 3s the bec put out enough voltage fine, but on 2s it can't get quite enough voltage to the rx. What servo and esc are you...

RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

Deans connectors aren't any worse then traxxas; they're probably better. Andersons are probably the best. I personally use 4mm bullets..

The connectors would have to be REALLY crapply like a...

RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

I wonder if there may be some type of rpm limit built into the esc? If you rev a motor up with no load then it could greneade, so maybe this is traxxas's way of stopping people from blowing up their...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would recommend Cheap Guy's 460mah lipo "mod" on page 182 of this thred

My 610mah mod is on page 181. I recommend the 460mah lipo because I had to take away so much chassis that it ended up...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it will run with no mods but it might get hot. I thermaled geared high on carpet racing all-out with my heavy 610mah battery, you should be fine. If it becomes unresponsive until you turn it off...

RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

The 1/10vxl will work fine. It just won't have as many programming features. The 18th scale vxl will probably be similar to your quark, maybe a little better.

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can order a micro t chassis, but the micro-dt chassis is way better. You can fit a bigger battery and the longer wheelbase makes it handle better.

RE: OFFICIAL Detta ST THREAD **********

I'm not too sure of either questions, but I beleive half a turn back from all the way tight is what to set the diffs at. I never had to adjust mine, and I got mine used.

I don't know anything...

RE: Rustler Motor

You can use the top speed estimator

I don't know what to gear for... Maybe around 30 on 2s lipo? Someone else could chime in maybe?;)

RE: Rustler Motor

Look at a mamba max pro with a 3-4s lipo and a medusa (bang for the buck) or Neu (top of the line) motor. It will find EVERY weak part of your drivetrain and you'll get well over 50mph.

RE: Rustler Motor

Get a turnigy lipo and a turnigy charger. The lipo would run you 20-30, maybe 40 and a decent charger on hobbycity is about 40-50. You can get a battery monitor on hobbycity for $4, you would just...

RE: Rustler Motor

If you don't have the money for brushless right away, I would go for a lipo first. The battery makes the electric system. Keep an eye on themps if you choose to move from a 6-7 cell nimh to a lipo;...

RE: Word to the wise, Atomic Diffs aren't good with the Vendetta

Hmm. Another reason to use the duratrax diffs. Not only do they not break, but there are steel gears available.

RE: Rustler Motor

I would invest in a brushless system (I recommend castle) and a decent lipo. Look at the turnigys on hobbycity for the BEST bang for the buck and check hyperion for top performance.

And welcome...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think a widetrack kit exists, but I don't know anything about it. First, put your wheels on backwards. That will give you a way wider stance right off the bat.

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do the antenna mod. Find a piece of wire (preferably a strand of cat5) and solder or attach it under the screw on the main board where there is copper underneath.

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, not for long. You will need at least a aluminum gearbox case. I heard good things about the 3racing things.
