RE: Plane Cleaner

I buy a "Commercial Size" 3 pack of Johnsons Pledge at Menards and it lasts all season. Takes off the Castor Oil and other crud and buffs up to a nice clean finish.

RE: cleaning engines

I clean them good when ever they have to be pulled for any reason. Other than that I just wipe them good after flying. Like they say, "you never see a dirty engine on an Indy race car."

RE: Toy Aeroplanes?

Even Jimmy Stewart had to have it explained to him in one of my favorite movies, "Flight of the Pheonix" that a model aeroplane is not a toy. (Henson and Stringfellow flew one 600 meters fifty years...

RE: who needs a club

Don't forget to write to your congressman to protect the frequencies you fly on. Oh forget that. Me and the other 146,000 AMA members will handle that for you out of our pockets.

RE: How many times do you crash?

I tell people I figure I have built around 1000 models since 1939. The ones I have left I can count on my fingers. Seriously, in 18 years of flying RC I've lost 5 in crashes that were beyond...

RE: TF P47 Engine Suggestions and retracts

RE: ABS cowl reinforcement

I've used CA hinge material with epoxy to reinforce and repair cracks from the inside on wheel pants and cowls. Also use this method as a reinforcement for screw mounting holes on cowls.
