If you point the antenna at your head, as in this option, you are pretty much guaranteed you will never have the "dead zone" pointed at the airplane (unless you have eyes in the back of your head).

The parameters I use for the alarm are fuel pump voltage less than .2v and EGT greater than 200c. You also need some way for your Jeti to distinguish the telemetry output from each turbine...

Not sure how or if you can do it with the DX18 but on my A-10 with Jeti, I have it set up to vibrate the left stick 3 times for left engine flameout and the right stick 3 times for right engine...
