Just a note here I also have this engine and my manual says nothing about engine failure.
Its does say to use a size 67 pipe for optimum performance.

Well I have made some progress at last.
New motor aligned and mounted.
Hull reinforced with a coating of epoxy resin
Now to tackle the issue of how to mount the massive pipe.

Hi I am currently doing the same conversion OS46vxm
Using the standard mounts is not a good idea,they do not fit the OS well at all without modification.

I purchased a Prather 8020 flex cable which I believe is correct apart from trimming for length

To break that many shafts its sounds like your motor is not in alignment with your stuffing tube.
In other news my TC31 is undergoing its winter refresh :)

Hi guys I recently bought myself one of these engines from our local equivalent of e-bay brand new still in box.
On contacting a couple of local hobby shops they tell me that engine is discontinued...
