RE: Any recognize this engine?

Not a Brija (that would be me) conversion. Very similar but yet several differences. I always painted the engine case after trimming, carb linkage was mounted directly on the crankcase, all...

RE: Worth Converting my JR 347 to 2.4???

I converted a 9303 and a 10x 2 years ago and have not had a single problem. Unless you need or want capabilities beyond what the 347 provides, then I would certanly not hesitate to do the conversion....

RE: What engine is this? Sachs???

Wow !! A blast from the past as I believe that's one of mine. I converted Sach 4.2's primarily for B & B who sold most of them for me. They were a great engine with plenty of power and durability...

RE: deans ultra to JR plug

Highly unlikely you'll find such a critter so making your own is the quickest and cheapest way to accomplish that.
The size wire that a JR plug will accomodate is the limiting factor here and...

RE: Do I want to build a Carden?

They do not. In fact, the last two years they have not attended Toledo.

RE: DLE 55 and a Pitts Muffler

You will lose some rpm but not really significant. They are however not a real great "muffler". They are using just a can
with 2 tubes welded on that do not extend into the can at all so they are...

RE: Gas safe pumps?

RE: 3W 106 problems

Pretty unlikely the magnet went bad and over the years (many of them)I've seen very few sensors go bad. I have however seen plenty of 3W ignitions go bad so that's where I would place my bets. I've...

RE: DLE-55 Pitts Muffler?

J-Tec makes one specifically for the TF P-51 and Aeroworks new P-51 which I have and it's about as "slim" as you're going to get. it's practically useless as is in my opinion. I mounted the 55 up on...

RE: Yamalube

I haven't used it yet but I did buy some to try as the local snowmobile repair grand wizard said the engines he had worked on that used Yamalube were the cleanest of them all. I bought the half and...

RE: Where to Buy Mahle Piston Cylinder Assembly for 4.2

You might also try Taurus Engines as I'm pretty sure he uses Mahle cylinders.

RE: Slimline Still in Business?

Just a guy and his wife and they've been like that for years. Don't know how they stay in business but they do make a nice product.

RE: QUADRA 75

The Q75 is equivalent to a Sachs 4.2 and we always ran 22-12 on those. I would expect roughly the same rpm with a 24-10 or 22-12 and would
agree that a 22-14 would be a pretty heavy load for the...

RE: Need Last three pages of Carden 35% Edge instructions

I may still have the instructions lying around somewhere. I'll take a look tomorrow and see if I can find them. I'll let you know if I have them or not and if I do, I'll be glad to help you out. I...

RE: Best servo gear life.....Titanium, MG, etc....

I'm seriously considering switching over to the Futaba 9156. Rated 340 oz torque as compared to the 8611A 320 oz and 8711 403 oz. I feel 340 is plenty for anything I do and reported reliability and...

RE: Adding SMOKE to MTW canisters

That's very possible. I don't have anything with cannisters in it at the moment so not able to try it and was hoping someone with real life experience would chime in.

RE: Adding SMOKE to MTW canisters

My flying buddies and I have played with smoke for years. I don't believe I have ever actually seen a smoke setup on cannisters, at least that I know of. What volume
of smoke can we expect out of...

RE: 1100mah A123 cells - Need 3 or 4 cells

I've been looking for a place to buy some A123 cells or packs but they seem to be getting scarce. I have purchased a few packs from SinCity but they, along
with most folks that sell A123 packs, are...

JR 8711 servos

Does anyone have enough hard time on these to determine whether or not the gear wear issue
has been resolved ?
