RE: WARNING AVOID NITRO PLANES!

Well, I don't know that they are required to stock spare parts. If that was a concern, perhaps you should have checked before purchasing. I have had trouble finding parts for items I purchased from...

RE: Giant P-51 TF vs H9

Ok, thanks.

My DA-50 is still at work in an Edge. I think I might start looking for a TF Mustang to get into the building queue.

RE: Giant P-51 TF vs H9

Ok, can you elaborate just a bit on the retracts? Is it just a matter of changing the struts to a larger wire or are they just too flimsy all together?

Are you using a G26 on yours? How is the...

Giant P-51 TF vs H9

I am looking for pros/cons of these two planes:

Top Flite Gold 1/5 scale P-51 ARF
Hangar 9 1.50 P-51 ARF.

I cannot find much info on the Top Flite ARF. I would probably use a DA-50 or...

RE: DA50-is it worth the extra $$$

I have a DA50 and love it. Some of my friends have purchased other Chinese motors and have had reliability issues. Others swear by the super cheap imports. I don't know anything about the DL...

100cc 3W issue

I need a little help with my 3W.

It has been sitting for about a year since I last flew it. I pulled the cowl off last year (after the last time I flew it) to do some tuning because it would...

Do you know which servos do not work with the 14 channel FASST Rx?

RE: GSP Sukhoi very tail heavy. HELP!!!

No apologies. Heck, I wish my mistakes were only that small. :)

That motor will certainly make that thing fun to fly. Just watch the wing loading, may need to land a bit hot.

At least the...

RE: GSP Sukhoi very tail heavy. HELP!!!

Thanks Dave.

It is a bit ridiculous that there is no response from GiantScalePlanes.com on this. I can deal with poor service but to sell something that won't even fly is fraudulent. It is...

RE: GSP Sukhoi very tail heavy. HELP!!!

Good call majortom.

My light didn't even go on when he said that. The pic even shows what appears to be a bolt on wing, not a tube.

Maybe they got a new version.

RE: GSP Sukhoi very tail heavy. HELP!!!

I hope that will be enough to get it there.

Please let us know where it balances after the changes listed above.

Thanks.

RE: Please Help. Need Senior Telemaster CG

That motor is a bit small if you are hauling a camcorder (even a small one). Make sure that the balance point is correct with and without the camcorder.

Mine really got pushed around in the...

RE: 3w Ignition problem

I just talked to him.

He is sending the whole works back to AI for repair.

Let them figure it out and eliminate a bunch of parts going back and forth.

Thanks for the help.

RE: 3w Ignition problem

To add:
Turning the ign off and on does not spark. since the ignition has been replaced but the pickup has not, I vote for the pickup.

So, what would I need to do to adapt one of the other...

RE: 3w Ignition problem

Well, the spark plug wire only came off of the first one. Second should be good.
I know that when the plug wire comes off, it will want to unload at the smallest gap. I was wondering if that...

RE: GSP Sukhoi very tail heavy. HELP!!!

Agreed.

"stretching" the nose has served me well in the past. I had to do that on my BME Edge. The gap between the cowl and spinner is a little big, but I can live with it.

I am not sure...

RE: GSP Sukhoi very tail heavy. HELP!!!

yeah, not a fan of adding more than a few oz if possible.

May look into moving the wing. Not sure how that would affect the model. You move the balance point back, but you also move the weight...

RE: GSP Sukhoi very tail heavy. HELP!!!

Thanks.

I'll see what would be required (elevator horns) to move the servos up. Even if I use carbon fiber pushrods for the elevators I will probably only gain a few ounces - may save me a...

In assembling a GiantScalePlanes.com 80" Sukhoi, the CG is supposed to be at approx 4.5" behind the LE. It balances at about 7" back. Approximately 5 pounds of lead is required in the nose for...
