RE: 1/8th scale newb

I can't find the LX Pro on Tower, but there is an Ofna Ultra GT LX rtr. The buggy on the picture is the LX Comp though....

RE: Jammin vs. Mayhem

Jammin is made by HongNor which is an old brand. Ofna is just the importer/distributor in US.

You should just take the one you like best - they are both good buggies. But look at the...

RE: good 1/8th buggy.....?

When you have a radio, then you should get a pro kit instead. Then you can choose an engine that you like instead of the normally not to good ones that comes with rtr-kits. It is also better to build...

RE: Ofna Buggys

In my opinion the Ravager is the one to go for. Mostly because of the engine which is much better than the .26 in the others.

The mbx comp has a silly electric starter system which I think is a...

RE: luck with Venom sensor

It is very convenient to have during the break-in phase, but after that I just use my hand held.

RE: NASCAR or F1?

F1 teams do own their own cars. Every team makes their own car. They do not always make the engine, but always the car.

There has been a few boring years where Ferrari and Schumacher were...

RE: OFNA Jammin True Specs?

It is strange that Tower has the wrong specs for length and width.
But if you read all the specs then you can see that the wheelbase is 332mm and the track is 304mm. These are normal for 1/8...

RE: show me my cars ID

That is correct. The original Ultra GT didn't have a normal receiver box. As can be seen in the pictures from RcSuCKA the buggy has the on/off-switch placed between the servos and the alu-piece that...

RE: show me my cars ID

It looks very much like an Ultra GT. And that is old!

The receiver box seems to be missing.

RE: Should I replace my Hyper7 carb?

A good break-in method are the Bess method.
But with Hyper engines, then just follow the Alex method ;)

RE: How is this?

A good alternative to the Comp is the Ofna Ravager. It has the .28 engine which is a good engine.

RE: changed my mind for a new car

It is a good choice for a bashing buggy.

Just get a better steering servo (Futaba s3305, 38$) and a 6V humppack.

Remember to locktite and retighten the screws before you use the buggy.

RE: bashing and upgrades

If your LX is completely stock there are both cheap and expensive upgrades:

Cheap:

Replace the grease in the diffs with proper diff silicone oil.
Replace the shock oil.
Get a 6V...

RE: Should I replace my Hyper7 carb?

The OS RG is a very good and cheap alternative. It is very easy to tune and furthermore the carb from the RG can be used as a replacement on the Hyper engine.

You can also try to use the search...

RE: What Fuel?

The most obvious is the performance of the engine. Sometimes you can really feel a difference between different brands of fuel. Of course you have to retune when changing fuels, but still there can...

I have had experience with both, and the Ofna is far more durable than the Inferno.

RE: What Fuel?

I have to agree with Motopro - Sidewinder is by far the best fuel I have tried. I use the 25% though.

RE: Ultra LX COMP/ Monster truck wheels

I think that the Ofna Dominator wheels can be used. But you can ask the people at Nitrohouse if nobody else here knows.

"Chad"

Apparantly you could use what I wrote, since you added your company name in your signature. So the answer to your question is: Yes.
