RE: bearing size on a revo clutch bell

It does state in the parts list that the 14 tooth clutch bell takes 5 x 10 bearings not the 5 x 11.  Unfortunatly Traxxas slipped up on adding that to the exploded view.  That just stinks to drive...

RE: revo 3.3 air filter

It is a tight fit but if put on correctly it doesn't hit the spur gear unless something else is wrong.  I had a bolt back out of the spur on mine and it started to eat away at the filter neck but...

RE: T-MAXX Engines

You could look into the Traxxas Engine Replacement Program.  You take your old engine to a participateing hobby store and trade it in on a new 3.3 Traxxas engine.  Everything should hook right up...

RE: Revo 3.3 trouble!

Pull the engine and check your bearings in the engine.  If they are bad enough you won't even have to open the engine up.  You will be able to move the crank with the flywheel still on and tight.

RE: slipper question

If you try to run without the bearing it could tighten the nut and it would no longer slip.  I think you would be for alot of broken drive line parts.

RE: bottoming out

Check the oil level in your shocks.  You can also put heavier oil in them.

RE: Well, learned the hard way..

I agree if it is trying to move there is a problem with one or both of the cluches.  I would start by takeing the body off and trying to roll the truck backwards while holding the spur.  It shouldn't...

RE: Thinking about going to Pull Start!!!What do you think?

I would check the Charger first to make sure the bat is getting a good charge.  I have used the pull start and had good luck with it  so if you don't mind cutting the body to get access I say go for...

RE: LST stuck in neutral...

Check your slipper clutch.  The stock nylock nut dies in a hurry and will back off on it's own.  Once it backs off it releases the preasure on the clutch pack.  Your slipper could also be worn beyond...

RE: Fuel? Glow plugs?

My thoughts for what they are worth.

If you can get hold of McCoy MC 59 glowplugs give them a try.  I had terrible luck with the Traxxas plugs.  They constantly died.  The MC 59 tunes better for...

RE: Revo 3.3 f/r torque distribution?

Is it  a stock truck or is modified.  If it is modified or you bought it used does it have the center diff installed.  If it has a center diff then I would guess you have a leak and the diff needs to...

RE: Nitro Newbie, Revo w/ OS.21 Clutch Failure?

Your slipper clutch is broken.  It can be seen in the pics if you look closely, and it is missing the springs/bellville washers (part # 5352).  As per your engine clutch, your clutch bell is set too...

RE: Do I need more channels??

I just clicked on this thread out of curiosity and have a thought about your gyro issue.  If your gyro operates like they do in a heli when set to head lock / hold then it is acting properly.  In a...

RE: fast idle= pita

I think he is running too lean on the LSN.  If it is dying in 2 to 3 secounds and not increasing RPM first then that is his problem.  When he tries to back out the Idle speed screw he is shutting off...

RE: 454 Glow Plug

Broke out the XXL today for a bit of fun.  Figured it was time to start getting her full tuned in after break in.  I pulled the stock plug and put in a MC59.  What a difference.  Of course it was too...

RE: Revo 3.3 servo question.

Check the manual.  I have a Revo and the manual calls for the servo arm to be kicked 7 degrees to the rear of the car when the wheels are straight.

Here is a link to the manual. ...
