Steve,
This is a great looking project. How are you doing? Are you just flying the small stuff now? I'm thinking about maybe doing a little flying this fall but not sure where I'd go. My local...

RE: U-Can-Do 60 build, intalling a DLE20

:)Will the UCD with the 20 hover this plane decently?
I love the UCDs and with a gas engine that would be nice.
Thanks

RE: Funtana ordered. What else is required?

:)My local hardward store (Ace Hardward) handles a good selection of 1/4-20 nylon bolts. Very nice and very cheap. Sometimes the obvious choices get overlooked.
Thanks

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

:)I've never seen a post where someone used that big of an engine. Many used the Saito 100 and thought it was great. I loved mine with the Saito 82 and found it to be about perfect. Even with my...

RE: How Long Will It Take To Learn ?

:)ES Control,
One of the simplest things I learned early when hovering:
When looking at the belly of the plane, move the rudder stick towards whichever wing is falling. That is really the only...

RE: Which 30cc engine and airframe?

:)Another plane you shouldn't overlook is the SBach in the 25% size (30CC) this is a really sexy looking airplane that flys super. I had the 50CC plane and was very satisfied with the performance. ...

RE: Best 3D 30% Aircraft???

:)The SBach is a great 3D airplane. I had the Pilot RC one from Chief. I also have the EF Yak and the EF Edge. All three are excellent at 3D. I very favorite for 3D though is the SBach. I think...

RE: U Can Do 3D

:)I agree. I've kinda moved on into larger gas stuff...but the UCDs are where I cut my 3D teeth. And the fun factor is amazing with these planes. I've had (4) of the 46 size and (3) of the 60 size...

RE: Bigger engine for U-Can-Do .46?

:)The beauty of YS is they have a "supercharger" effect. So any time you are at higher elevations you will see a "real" power difference. I've flown a lot of YS engines. Mostly the 110s but I have...

RE: What 3D Plane Would You Buy Again

:)For me the funest airplane I've ever flown is the UCD. I've had the 46, 60 and Giant. I had trouble with the Giant and gave it away. But the 46 and the 60 I've purchased at least 3 times each. ...

Also, the Sbach is very "complete". It has the fuel tank installed, all the hinging completed, canopy...

RE: Extreme Flight 110 Yak with DA 150

RE: 3D airframe for Saito 82

:)A really FUN 3D plane for the Saito 82 would be the UCD3D from Great Planes.
I had an 82 on mine and used a APC 14x4W prop. Excellent combo. Can do anything 3 D and is great fun.
Thanks

RE: Back Flying after 5yrs

:)Welcome back!
If it was me I'd upgrade all the servos to a 59XX or 79XX. Those are much more precise and you'll have better servos if you move up sometime. I use A123 batteries exclusively now....

RE: Extreme Flight 110

:)Thanks Dave.
I'm gonna measure the cowl and see if a 25" prop would stick out. I think I'll try one. I'll go with the 25x10. I'm really wanting to try a 3 blade. I've heard different opinions...

RE: Extreme Flight 110

RE: Extreme Flight 110

I'd probably go with the 120. Mine has a 100 in it with pipes. This is a heavy plane. My weighs nearly 30lbs. I can get about 45-46 lbs thrust which seems pretty decent, but more power is always...
