RE: Great Planes Flight Box

One other question: I am going to paint the flight box yellow (after priming white) and then seal the painting with some sort of a polyurethane. I prefer spray painting for obvious reasons. Does...

A sad day in the Meyer household

Today was a very sad day which gives rise to two questions.

I crashed my 4*40. It was the first real crash in my 2-1/2 year flying career. I had some rough landings, etc. which required repairs,...

There you go again - using logic. Don't you know that never works with the female of the species?

When I was about to turn 50, I told my wife that I was having a mid-life crisis and that I was...

RE: Are all trainers trikes?

I am sure everyone knows this, but I am feeling left out. :D If you use plastic bolts on your taildragger's main gear, a rough landing will usually shear the bolts and leave the gear mounting plate...

RE: sig 4* 40

The 4*40 was my second plane. Ran it with a .40 SuperTigre. You won't go wrong. The .46 AX (which I ran on my trainer) may provide too much power, however.

Trouble removing prop from .40 Super Tigre

I need to remove the prop from my .40 Super Tigre. I have to admit when I put the prop on I really cranked the crap out of the nut. Now, when I try to remove the nut it simply spins the spacer behind...

Don't give up yet. It is a great hobby.

First question, are you a member of a club. If not, find a club and join it. The members will provide a wealth of information.

Second, do you...

RE: O.S. engine issue

I am running my O.S. .46 AX on an 11X6 prop. At peak RPM I am hitting 13,300. I then richen it up to 12, 900 (or maybe just a little bit lower). The only problem I have had with it is once, it two...

RE: Whats wrong with JR radios??

Personally, I fly with Futaba, but that is only because when I started my instructor suggested either Futaba or JR and I found a good deal on a Futaba. I don't think there is anything wrong with JR.

RE: good trainers for a newby

If you want to go with an ARF then my vote goes to the Sig LT-40 with an O.S. .46 AX engine.
