Yes glassing is the plan. Airfoil will be a 5.25Ē with sheeting. The saddle is quite a bit larger than the airfoil itself.

gear and kit finally arrived! Though being a dummy I forgot to order the plans kit. Went ahead and ordered everything else with the plans, with any luck Iíll be able to start building next...

Got back to the decathlon after a brief pitts project. Covered the fuse in monokote this time. Came out alright, I'm still new to the covering scene so we'll keep the pictures at a short distance.

Got a little more done tonight. Tied the ailerons together, marked holes for motor, cut cowling to fit the 15gx, cut and fit smoke tank in place, made up a throttle linkage, and added some stickers.

Well..pains me to say it but I'm throwing in the towel for a while. Ended up completely ruining the paint job due to paints not working well together. Bubbles and peeling paint all over the fuse....

Beats me. But the wood was soaked in nitro and there were moldy spots all over. Could have been just a slow leak that kept it wet

Also I had to strip all the balsa off the bottom of the fuselage due to a nitro leak that cause mold to form. Got it all dried up and re sheeted so it's good to go now.
