todd,

both are causing problems...just pull rear tubes out of sponsons, plug them with wood and redrill..quick easy fix that should get your problems fixed..

The engine analysis program is and excellent tool..however it does not give you the answers, what it does is allow you to do is know where you start and where you end up so you can always get back...

i you get a gauge you will have to zero it with the head button sitting on top of the piston out of the engine because it has a dish on the top of the piston...the clearance needs to be set at .006.....

how long is the pipe, what prop, how much nitro, and are you getting any heat in the motor? also did you set the head clearance it is very excessive out of the box on 35plus..if you are running...

the zoom carb is supposed to be like that,its part of the design, and it is a great carb (do not change it) ......your engine will not idle any better with the speedmaster carb, they have no low...

most all 12 engines work very well if set up properly, but for 115 dollars glenns nova is the only way to go..comes with flywheel and a very good carb and proper timing to run well into the 50 mph...

today i ran 65mph with my .12 hydro in heat race trim guys...even at those speeds it handled great...

yes i have moved it forward..i started with it in the location that you designed it with and just the changes to the bottom, it free'd the boat up but the bottoms of the sponsons...

the video of my 12 boat you seen was with sponsons like that..no tripping at all ever!!!! it handles great like this, its free and fast and doesnt do anything stupid..try it...

ron, have you tried a little cup in that x637 and a shorter pipe, the 12s like to scream there guts out...i like the 3 port, only because of the timing numbers suite what i do to them better..you...

the header is not cut that much ron, its a pretty short pipe to start with..the 18tz has pretty low timing numbers so i have the pipe short to get it to rpm, it has no problem launching or falling...

i have the 18tz in mine with h4 prop,pipe at 6 3/4 and could go shorter, it runs very good,you wont be dissapointed..
