Captured FLIPS, ROLLS, etc

I am studying non-collision crashes (rolls, flips, etc). I know there are a lot of variables (speed, wind, water, CG, lift, etc) but I would like to get a better handle on them.

I am looking...

RE: solder 6mm connectors to 10 gauge battery wire

What I ended up doing was modifying my 60W RadioShack Digital Soldering Station (already had it) by adding a LARGE brass soldering tip to allow quick heat transfer. The station lets you set the...

solder 6mm connectors to 10 gauge battery wire

How do you solder 6mm connectors to 10 gauge battery wire without having the stranded wire suck up too much solder and become too stiff? I have a Weller 200 watt soldering gun and a Solder-it Butane...

Yellow Paint for 1/12 Proboat LLumar?

I took my yellow Miss LLumar to an automotive paint mixer and they couldn't match it in an acrylic! They asked if it is a clear candycoat over white. Does any one have a matching paint?

RE: Best Battery Connectors

I hadn't noticed that your picture is on a measurement board. They look like they are 8mm (0.3") wide and so must be the PP45's ( 1.6" long x 0.3" wide) that are for 10-14 gauge wire and are rated...

RE: Best Battery Connectors

A great website to see all the specs for the Anderson Power Poles is http://www.connex-electronics.com/ and then search for "PP-75".

Does someone have a good site for Bullet connectors?

RE: Best Battery Connectors

Which Power Poles are these that are pictured? There are PP45's ( 1.6" long x 0.3" wide) that are for 10-14 gauge wire and are rated at only 45 amps AND there are PP75's ( 3.2" long x 0.6" wide)...

Kill Switch or Power Loop Plug

I understand that in Europe they require a Kill Switch or Power Loop Plug to quickly shut down the electric motor, if necessary. It sounds like a good idea on these 100+ amp speed set-ups.

Does...

RE: Adjustable Battery Tray

I want to dynamically adjust it using an available radio channel so I though it would be more stiff, slippery, and even maybe a heat sink at the same time?!?

Adjustable Battery Tray

Does anyone know of a source for an adjustable battery tray for the batteries to do CG adjustment of battery packs? I would actually prefer some sort of aluminum slider with velcro straps.

If...

RE: AquaCraft U-18 Miss Vegas Hydro Thread_Make it Fast!

I would expect more from your CVRM after you run 1 gallon or 2 through it. These more powerful engines REALLY need to be properly broken in!

RE: Do we Need a DRAG Boats Forum,Gas and/or Electric

Yes - a SAW forum would be great BUT you got me thinking and researching R/C drag boats. I like the way the new Thunderboat class looks with the simulated engines - a few of the drag boats you...

SAW Speed Trials

I notice that the IMPBA and NAMBA hold SAW speed trials when it cools down (Fall to Spring). The only place I see them are Brahan Springs Lake - Alabama, Blue Lake - Georgia, and Thread Lake -...

RE: AquaCraft U-18 Miss Vegas Hydro Thread_Make it Fast!

Jerry,
I LOVE the JD sponson mod (or as close as I could get based on pictures) - you should sell a "mod kit"!

If you don't mind sharing, what has your experience with top GPS speed using the...

RE: Lets see your Recovery boats

Here is mine. I have a small trolling motor for it but as of now my boats are running pretty well and I only need it when I flip them, so a paddle is all I use. The cargo net holds the boats well...

I am looking forward to your results - I am VERY HAPPY with my 18TZ!!!! I rigger would be an ideal candidate for keeping the air cooling, if that is still an option for you. I know that some people...

Maximizing an OS 18TZ

OK ... first we need to get by the "it's a car engine"! I know some have used this engine in sport hydros and riggers and some of the riggers are even air-cooled! I know I have seen some of you that...

RE: Hydro Challenge Build, Hydro Junkie's Boats

One of the things on my 'honey do' list is "clean up my garage/shop" so I interpret that as "fix-up my shop" - I already added a new bench, a dozen new drawers, a couple of new power tools, etc. :D
