RE: JR stops the sales of 2.4 as of last night for upgrade

Since I don't fly at large events with hundreds of flyers, I guess I shouldn't be concerned with the limitations of DSM2.

However, isn't there another consideration that makes frequency hopping...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

My hatch did the same thing and I did secure it. It is obvious that the hatch retaining mechanism is a flawed design, the magnets barely, if at all, engage, and they are too small.

I'm done with...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

I can get an incidence meter. However, if I find that the incidence of the stab is off, is there anything I can do about it? I'm not going to be able to change the incidence of the stab, would I...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

I flew my Sequence today after adjusting the wing incidence, still the same trim problems.

I'm completely fed up with this plane, it is literally the worst ARF I have ever purchased. Support...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

I did as you suggested Larry. I found that at the trailing edge of the wing, the measurement was 7.75 cm, on both sides of the wing. At the front of the wing, on the left side it is 7.95 cm, on the...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

Thanks for the feedback Larry and abbydawn.

I'm completely fed up with this plane. I've never encountered so many major issues with an ARF as I did with the Sequence:

- canopy would not...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

I'm having the same trim problems, my Sequence requires a huge amount of up elevator and a significant amount of left aileron. The trim chart link above no longer appears to be active.

abbydawn...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

Since I can't fly my Sequence with the canopy detaching in flight, I emailed Great Planes support.

They were no help at all. They asked me to return the problem part - which in this case would...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

I had my first flight with my Sequence today. I didn't trust the canopy attachment, so I put a bit of tape on it as well.

I guess I didn't use enough tape, my canopy came off in about a minute. ...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

That's why I went with a 2600 4S. About 1.5 oz more, but I want more than 5 minute flight times.

I use 2200 lipos only one my small stuff, like my Reactor bipe - 36 oz. The Sequence needs more...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

Trashley's experience with the weight on the Sequence is identical to mine. With the recommended setup our Sequences would come in at almost 4lbs. I guess you could say that both of us got bad ARFs,...

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe

I'm just finishing up my Reactor bipe, using the recommended Rimfire .80 and 3300 6S lipo.

The manual doesn't give much information on servo extensions to the wings. I plan to use the 2 into 1...

RE: Great Planes 60 size reactor bipe

Despite a few misgivings about the design (mostly that it is a bit too heavy, since it is glow/electric), I ended up buying one.

Overall it looks like a nice ARF. The covering looks nice, except...

RE: Great Planes Reactor 120-160?

I have a Reactor .46 monoplane on electric, as well as the small bipe.

Both are excellent planes, highly recommended.

RE: Great Planes 60 size reactor bipe

Yes, that is a reasonable price. Too bad I'm in Canada - we don't have deals like that. I will have to pay around $350 to $375, plus 12% tax.

RE: Showtime 50 v/s Big Stik 40

The Showtime is definitely better for 3D.

But I wouldn't buy the Showtime either. I owned the Showtime 90 - Isold it because I wasn't satisfied with it. Not a terrible plane, just not that great....

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe

Nope, I'm not afraid to solder, I just don't enjoy it, particularily when there are alternatives. I haven't soldered control rods for yearsdespite buildinglots of similar and larger planes.

Iam...

RE: Reactor verses U-Can-Do 3D

I've owned both, 2 Reactors .46 and one U-Can-Do 60.

You can't go wrong with either. The U-Can-Do is a floater, it's great as a first 3D plane.

The Reactor is more capable, but things generally...

RE: Great Planes 60 size reactor bipe

I don't know about that. It is now up on tower hobbies - $300. Not a bargain by any means, the prices of ARFs have certainly go up a lot in the last year.

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP 3D ARF .46-.70

I've got a few flights on my second Reactor. My first one had a OS 55 AX, very nice plane but I've since moved to all electric.

I assembled a second Reactor - Torque motor, Airboss controller and...

RE: Great Planes 60 size reactor bipe

I will probably also get one. I've built two Reactor .46 size, one with an OS 55 AX that I sold, my current one is electric.

I also have the Reactor bipe, if the .60 size flieslike the smaller...

RE: FS One by Hangar 9

Thanks Dave, I have tried the mods to the Trex. It did improve things, but not enough.

I may end up using my transmitter with FS One, if I don't end up buying another sim. Based on my experience...

I went back to using my FS One to give myself some practise with helis. It didn't take me long to remember why I stopped using it a few months ago. So many problems with this simulator.

It might...

RE: Great Planes Reactor 160?

I'm one of those people that are complaining about two servos per wing - really a un-needed complication. A guy was at our field yesterday with a Hanger 9 Sukoi, 80cc. Much bigger than the Reactor...
