I’ve been away from building for a while now. Starting to feel the itch to get back to it. The Skybolt is at the top of the list.

If I remember right, it’s 1/4”. I never thought about tabbing, nor fiberglassing. Both are a good idea. I know I pinned it, but don’t recall what I used for the pins.

Vincent,
I had a Tiger 60 I loved a few years back. She always landed hot. So, one day at the field I worked on getting the ailerons configured as flaperons with enough down elevator mixed in that...

I think I like the rounded better. Although would want to see them both on the plane to be sure.

RE: where to find plane whistles?

I actually started looking at whistle design so I could get more noise out of my Shark and pick it up on RC Speedo. Think I ave a design that might work, but just haven't gotten around to building a...

RE: JR X9303 won't bind to new AR500 RX

I just tried it again and the problem reoccurred. Seems whenever I reset the system data, not the model memory, it'll work until I turn the TX off, then back on without going into binding mode....

RE: JR X9303 won't bind to new AR500 RX

Interesting. I went into the system menu and looked around. Didn't change anything. However, when trying to exit, it looks like it was asking if I wanted to reinitialize, reset system settings, or...

RE: JR X9303 won't bind to new AR500 RX

The green LED comes on for a few seconds, but then goes out. I don't recall if that's normal or not.

RE: JR X9303 won't bind to new AR500 RX

No joy!! 11.5 volts and still won't bind. The RX I'm trying now, the satellite will stop blinking like it's trying to bind as soon as I turn the radio on, but the main RX just sits there with the...

RE: JR X9303 won't bind to new AR500 RX

I tend to agree. Especially since I just swapped the RX for a different one and it bound right up to a test model I had programmed. I switched over to the real model program I wanted to use and...

RE: JR X9303 won't bind to new AR500 RX

Okay, I'll take that correction. It's actually the X9303, not the XP. Thanks!

The RX is in bind. And I've backed up about ten feet, holding the bind button when I turn it on and waited about...

RE: JR X9303 won't bind to new AR500 RX

No. The JR XP9303 is a 2.4Ghz DSM2 TX. This is the one that is only 2.4Ghz DSM2 without modules.

JR X9303 won't bind to new AR500 RX

I just picked up a new AR500 RX, plugged it in to bind and it gets no joy from my X9303. If I try binding with my Futaba 9C w/Spektrum module, it binds right up. I've had problems in the past where I...

RE: In the corn, in the blank corn

Ouch! I feel for ya man. I used to fly rockets back home and it was a pain to find them in the corn. Any chance you can get on top of a truck, ladder, roof, silo, whatever to get above the corn and...

RE: Switching to 2.4

I agree, ditch the 4.8v batteries and go to 6v. Also, the RX won't be compatible. Otherwise, everything else should be good.

Thanks guys! It was a spectacular crash, although no one around to witness. The Captain survived to fly another day. At least the part of him that was on board. I WILL have another Tiger some day....

That last photo is the "Crash scene cleanup container", which deployed successfully. Managed to fit almost all of the plane into the bag.

Demise of a Tiger... (Chapter 3) - A third one bites ...

Well, lost another Tiger today. This one maidened 4 Jul 2008. She was the sweetest plane I've ever flown. Not one bad takeoff. I finally set up flaperons on her today and had a few good landings. I...
