RE: VQ FW190

Thanks guys for the information. I looked at both the spring air and eflight units and they looked great. Could you guys possibly tell me which model # of retract you are using?

VQ FW190

I just got a VQ FW 190 and was wondering what is the best retract available for this .60 size bird? I can't seem to find any information when I do a search.

RE: CMPro F4u Corsair

Here are some pictures of the Sierra retract installation. I used 3 3/4 inch robart wheels and positioned the retracts far enough forward to completely clear the wing spars.

RE: CMPro F4u Corsair

Greenred the exhaust will exit out the bottom where the cowl meets the firewall. It will be a straight pipe, no muffler.

RE: CMPro F4u Corsair

Guys they now come with the decals applied to them. That is why I asked the question about removing them. It is really a shame because they did an outstanding application job on the plane, but the...

RE: CMPro F4u Corsair

I am talking about the CMP, after all I thought this thread was about the CMP 120 Corsair. The earler versions came without the decals applied, but the latter versions come with the decals on them on...

RE: CMPro F4u Corsair

Has anybody tried to remove the stock stars and bars decals from this model? As noted earlier in this thread the color of the blue is way off. I am hoping to remove them without taking paint with...

RE: CMPro F4u Corsair

Charles, yes mine are the 100 degree retracts for the cmp, h9, and top flight corsairs. I am sure that there will be enough room forward to clear the spar. It is extra work, but these retracts are...

RE: CMPro F4u Corsair

Okay that was a stupid question, the retracts obviously have to be moved forward to the leading edge to clear the spar. I can see there is plenty of room to go towards the front of the wing.
