RE: But who was the greatest aerial warrior?

I noticed that old confusion about ordinance/ordnance has raised its ugly head again. Here's a way to remember it:

An ordinance is what the local mayor passes to shut down your flying field....

RE: But who was the greatest aerial warrior?

These guys were all notable but I'd say you have to go back to the beginning and see what the WW1 guys accomplished with primitive equipment.
I'd suggest Billy Bishop as one of the top air warriors...

RE: Glassing vs MonoKote

For my 2 cents worth, I think plastic looks bad on a warbird. I'd spent the time on glassing and painting to get a better finish.
Plastic is ok on other planes I suppose but not warbirds.

RE: scale bombs and missiles????

The word is ordnance. An ordinance is what the local mayor passes to shut down your flying site. Ordnance is what you drop on his head for doing that.

RE: Glowplug burnout

Glowplugs burn out. They burn out from contaminants in the fuel, too lean a run, plug voltage too high, vibration and sometimes I think just to annoy you. It's just a fact of life so carry a couple...

RE: Maybe a little advise from here??

I hope you haven't spent much on this stuff! From what I see it is old and pretty run down. Most of us won't touch older stuff unless we know how it was used and for how long. Anybody buying that...

RE: Help Identify Plane

It was not built from a kit. It is a ARF Seagull Models Harrier built in Vietnam. The balance point should be 140-150 mm back from the leading edge of the wing. Hope that helps.

RE: What do you do with a guy ?

I guess he thought you were his friends and was relaxed enough to tell you some jokes. His mistake in trusting you I guess.

RE: does fuel choice effect flight time?

8 to 10 tanks of fuel isn't really a break-in. Try it when you have had 2 or 3 gallons of fuel run through that engine. Have a little patience and I think you'll see an improvement but probably not...

RE: Returning to flying. Wish me luck

Altitude, altitude, altitude! Keep it a couple of mistakes high at first would be my suggestion. Have fun with that and good luck.

RE: Keeping the Plane in GOOD SHAPE?

Just a little terminology thing for you. Stalls in aviation refer to the wing loosing lift. They have nothing to do with the engine stopping. I did know what you meant though.

RE: What’s so great about a cub?

Go flying on a day with crosswind and try sideslipping the Cub in to a landing. What a blast! Also, flying the model is really different than the sim.

RE: Flying (updated)

I would suggest you take a careful look at the elevator push rods and make sure they are anchored securely. I have had pushrods bend when the aircraft was in a dive and was unable to get the model to...

RE: Snaps/Spins on Realflight sim?

I just tried it with the Top Flite Mustang Gold Edition and it spins ok. I didn't get a good snap but that model doesn't do it very well anyway. I tried it with the big Extra and it is much the same.
