spads are cool and all, yes it's neat to see a plastic sign go by. I tried a couple, but for myself I perfer flying light models, either balsa or fiberglass. Q40 is my buzz. need lots of space though...

potting is fine, on my Viper I just used a little 64th ply and slipped it under.

Wow, I just finshed mine, no problem like that.

I did read the review on RCU for the GP Gee Bee, after that I did change the assembly order. Gluing the wing together last is a big help.

Wow, a local. We race up Osseo at grassfield.

there used to be a .28 Q500 league years ago that flew alot at St paul. Quickie with .25's fly fine. Those .25 combat thing that GP sells fly good...

Ouch, hard question. Everyones' at TGIF's at the moment, but nearly every Vortex I've seen fly, sure seems like the cat's meow.

But if I build 5-6 planes there might be one that has the fewest...

"the almost fit part" is the trailing edge of the wing to the "C" bulkhead. With some wings the rear bulkhead is a 1/32 to a 1/16th too tall, because the trailing edge of the wing can be...

by putting the bearing on the crank and THEN dropping the crank into engine, chances are it will be nice and straight.

you discovered the time honoured method of recovering from no tail, works nice huh?

Maybe the tail got cracked from a hard push or other previous hardship, get the glue out, make it a bit...

Good info Jerry, when I won my motor last summer I had Dave sell me a carb too, I told him it was for an old motor and it came with the ring.

Maybe there all gone, oh well.
