RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

What diameter are the carbon pushrod tubes? I'm not sure if I should order 3mm or 4mm rods.

RE: Picorare Build Thread

I grew up in Ontario, Canada, and I know all about black flies. Not fun.
I'm glad the Pico didn't get hurt too badly. Fix it and fly it again! I am really lookng forward to a real flight report.

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

I dont think Lshaver claimed the Clik-x was his. He was just using the video as an example of a small plane capable of true pattern flight.

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

I did a search for clik-x and read the threads I found. The 52" version with the full fuse and airfoiled wing looks very interesting.
I'd love to see a well detailed build thread.

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

Your Clik-x obviously flies slow, and flies pattern well. (The model looks and flies very much like an indoor F3P type plane.)
I wonder how well it does in wind? Conditions looked to be dead still...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

I did see that about the 2200's, which is still only slightly bigger than the 2100's. I have some 2200's on hand already, but I will need an extra pack or two. I might consider trying something in...

RE: Great Planes Sequence F3A

Any idea what kind of flight duration Dan was getting? (I assume he was using the recommended 2100mah batteries.)
I'm wondering if larger packs might be a good idea. 2100's seem a little small for...

Virtual Pattern Vids. Please post!

Here's my best attempt so far. AFPD captured with FRAPS and converted to WMV. The quality is pretty crappy, I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Sportsman pattern, flown by a novice. There is no...

RE: Old Blue Angel with a new paint job

What, that paint job isn't "old school" enough for ya David? ;) :)

Yeah, it's a little out there, but it sure looks good. BJD's son has got some talent!

RE: 1970's Classic Pattern Action Picture's

I'm pretty sure that the second picture (the one with two people kneeling by an airplane) shows Dave Brown on the left, in the pink (circus circus?) jacket. I think that's his wife Sally on the...

RE: OK, all this Nano, Pico stuff...

I used 1/8 sheet to make the tails for my 48" sport aerobatic "Windrunner" design. They worked out fine, although I do like the looks of thicker surfaces.

The "scale" airfoiled tails on the...

RE: OK, all this Nano, Pico stuff...

Yes I did get your PM, David. Thanks, I'll contact Don about a short kit for the Pico.

I went ahead and had plans printed for the Rainedave UFO. The plans are very nice! Time to sort through my...

RE: OK, all this Nano, Pico stuff...

Please post the plans soon! :) I think the Dirty Birdy and UFO fuselage profiles are the coolest looking of all the classic pattern designs. Something about them just really pleases my eye. The...
