RE: Concept 1/4 scale Fleet

Hi Jim. I do have some pictures of NC70CJ that I took at the Bartlesville Biplane Expo, but I'll have to dig them up and see exactly what I have. I know I got some decent shots of the aircraft as...

RE: Help building a Concept Fleet.

Hooker53, the plans call for the CG just in front of the top front cabane attachments - from the front of the wire to about 3/4" fore of that. The plans don't call for any washout whatsoever on...

RE: BlackWidow 2.4Ghz @ 1000mw Video Clip

Very Nice!

Sounds like a sports car when you power it up for takeoff :)

Mike, I'd like to know more about your setup - Got time for a few questions?
I purchased the 600mw brown bag kit....

RE: RCers who are ham (Amateur) radio operators?

Well, I'm not active in amatuer radio anymore - RC takes up most of my time and money. But I do still hold an Advanced class ticket, even though that category is no longer available.

Btw, I've...

RE: Inflight Glitching- Due to Antenna Routing

Think of it like this - the radio antenna is the flyswatter, and the radio signal is the fly. Catching the fly (radio signal) isn't too hard to do when the swatter (antenna) is broadside, but, turn...

RE: funtana "tip stalls"? gyroscopic precession?

I think it's important to this discussion to remember that not all Funtanas have 'tip stall' tendencies. I've been flying mine since last year, and so far haven't seen any tendency whatsoever to drop...

RE: Help: Need throttle adapter block for G-38

Andy, I've got one on the G38 that's going into my Fleet. I could get a pic of it for you if it would be any help.

RE: H9 Funtana S40 Lateral balance with Saito 91

As noted above, the prop IS NOT on the centerline of the aircraft - it is off to the right side of center because of the angular offset of the firewall that gives the right thrust. You cannot use the...

RE: Can the Hobbico MkII do Li-po?

Well, I'm using the MKII to charge li-poly from the Kokam 340 to Etec 1200. It does works, but I don't think you get full charge out of it. My voltmeter reads less than 11v when it kicks off.

RE: What else do i need

This prop adapter might be what you're looking for
PJS040 PROP SAVER PROP ADAPTER, 4MM

Also, I run 3 cell li-po on both my 0508 and 0808, and I'm using the CC 10 amp controller.

RE: RE:Go with InsaneFoamies.com...

Steve, I got a Fancy Foam Edge540 airframe. I got only the airframe because I had a Nippy 08 free, and wanted to try it.

I gotta tell ya, the Fancy Foam airframe is excellent. I can do flat...

RE: fomie paints?

If you don't have an airbrush, the Testors rattle can in the model section at Wal-Mart works for me on Depron. Try it on a scrap piece first. Use low tack masking tape.

RE: I solved the Funtana tip stall

Nice flying Kyle. Kinda makes one realize the 'tipstall issue' may not be related to design, but rather set-up. I've got quite a few flights on mine, and while I can't fly it like you do, I don't...

RE: great motor for shockflyer!!! WOW

2 cells? hehe

I like the 0508 on my Shockie, but all 6 of my Li-Polys are 3 cell.

I guess unlimited vertical is enough power, and I ain't twisted the nose off yet :)

RE: Sig hummer Plans?

I also built one of these years ago, and I may still have the plans. If I remember it right, it was a midwing with fully symetrically airfoil. I had a .090 on it, and could fly Cuban 8s in a very...

RE: What I've Learned @ RCU

I've learned that you must have near 180 degrees of throw on each and every control surface, just make sure to put at least 90% expo on 'em.

I've also learned that it's considered impolite to...

My.02 - as you say, PPM and PCM may be the same - but only UNTIL A PROBLEM HAPPENS!

If the glitch is caused by the ignition system (loose ground, loose cap) PCM can at least shut the engine...

I saw a Ford Pinto that could go backwards - musta been a "3D" Pinto!!!!!!!!!

Luke 3D returns wins the prize. 3D is 'flying' when the wing is stalled, ie, lift is generated from the engine...

It boils down to a matter of opinion, and individual experiences. I...

RE: FuntanS 40 ARF stripping 3004 servos issue
