Try Gander Mountain, Service merchandise,or K-mart. I found some at K-mart in the lawn and garden dept., they were closing it out at end of last season. I guess they thought it was bug spray.

ICOM R-2 scanner/receiver

Anyone have experience with one of these. Purchased it used and would like to set it to scan our R/C freq. I can select them manually but cannot set it to scan. TIA

Mini turbine at FJ

Any updates on the new mini turbine for small DF conversions?
They were supposed to bench run these at the rally.

Any tips on reinforcing the wing on a Viper. It is foam core. Springair retract frames seem kind of flimsey, anyone make a stronger one that will drop in place?

If you did not receive a set of plans and an instruction book the latest version is available from BVM. It has all the latest upgrades shown and a list of recommended servos for each control.

BVM catalogue that has some figures in it states:
With a BVM .91R @ 24,000 RPM static thrust should be 13+lbs.
I weighed a fan unit, engine and and pipe, all BVM. Weight is 3lbs.

Seems to me we are over regulating. What type of restrictions do they have in Europe? I have not heard or read of any accidents or injurius and most of the turbine development is done over there. ...

control throws: BVM Viper

Rudder 1 3/8" L&R,
Aileron 5/8" up, 1/2" down
Elevator 1/2" up & down
CG 3 5/8" Back from front edge of bellypan. Gear up tanks empty.
Flaps 20 degrees for takeoff and landing.
Nice flying...
