RE: RS4 3 rtr+ big block conversion .26 .21

maoy,
I see what you are saying but have held say a red and yellow 2nd gear together? I used a set of dial calipers and they are the same diameter. The teeth are thinner on the 23t compared to 21t....

Maoy,
Thank you for the links. I am ordering a set of shafts now.
Now the last thing I want to do is sound like a smart *****, I appreciate all the info very much BUT, the pinion gears for the RS4...

RE: RS4 3 rtr+ big block conversion .26 .21

Maoy,
Thanks for taking the time to respond. Funny you say this about the gears, I just finished installing the 39t gear and now I have 23/39 for second and 17/43 for first. I may need to rethink...

RE: RS4 3 rtr+ big block conversion .26 .21

I have a question. I put an OS 18 TZ and a real tuned pipe in my RS4 3 a few months ago and the motor has as power as mod motors I have paid $300+ in the past. Here’s the question. How on earth are...

I am tired of using NiMh’s on my Stratus, 4 flights and there done. I want to use a 2S2P 4200 lipo which weighs the same as my 2700 NiMh. I just can’t decide which regulator to use. I am looking...

RE: Trex 600 battery question

I see what you are saying. That's a long time to wait for two packs to charge so you can fly once. The new Align 6S charger/balancer can be found for under $200. If you are on a budget get what you...

RE: Trex 600 battery question

I was answering ea01bg’s question on using 2200 ma packs when I said they would cook.
But now I have a question, how are two 3S 5000 packs cheaper then one 6S 5000 pack?

RE: Trex 600 battery question

You will cook your batteries! Some people have used 4400 ma 20c batteries (88 amps) and they still puffed. The 600 needs a good battery like flight power or thunder power 4900-5000 ma. The Trex 600...

RE: best charger for me

E Station 301 DX http://www.atlantahobby.com/shopexd.asp?id=6111
This is a great little charger for $90. It will charge Lipo, NM, Nicad or PB. It will charge a Lipo as big as 5S @ 5 amp or as...

RE: Voltage Question

The main concern here would be the ESC. The motor will be fine as long as you don't over amp.
Here is the manual. In the specs 6-7 cells.

RE: best dual battery charger

O.K., I see what he is saying now. It is actually common Vss (negative) between the two batteries. I thought he had done something I have seen done before that can cause a ground loop condition.

RE: Springs?

Man I hate to sound this way but I have installed sway bars on two different RS4’s and they did not work at all. Try this little test. Disconnect your shocks from the lower arms and lift one side...

RE: Springs?

I am sorry to disagree but sway bars reduce weight distribution, and mostly make the car looser on the end they are installed on. If you just throw on a set front and back your car will be looser...

RE: Futaba gyro ?'s

Well first of all the GY501 was discontinued years ago and it was the first GY series (HH) they made. It is also too big for the 450.
The GY401 is the BEST gyro for a Trex 450. You will need a fast...

RE: I have the Traxxas 3.3 70+mpr andi'm?

If you try a set of foam tires you will never run rubber again. For parking lots try a set of 40 shore to start with.

RE: pipe for touring car

This is from one of my books on tuned pipes.
The speed of sound within the exhaust system is dependent upon the EGT ( exhaust gas temperature). The higher the temperature the longer the pipe length...

RE: pipe for touring car

Not if you are fixing a crack or the like. As long as you do not change the shape of the chamber. I have fixed many an exhaust system with JB WELD. Make sure you clean and roughen the area first.

RE: Stronger drive shafts for RS4 3?

So far the shafts are holding up to the power with no sign of fatigue. I have actually ordered their front and rear universal shafts to see if they work as well. Both sets $25 delivered to the door,...
