I don't know about the ZDZ-80, but f it is anything comparable to the DA-85, power would not be a problem.

I have been flying the prototype with a DA-100, and I mounted the ignition module on the left side of the motor box. My cowl does not have a cowl ring (yes, yours does looks better!), but...

Frank,

I shortened them by 1" to be able to slop on the cowl.
The engine runs great, and the plane still stays quite clean.

Astrohog is correct, I had a typo in the post: the CG is supposed to be 6-1/2", and not 6to12".

I think it is time to dispel the myth that there is a CG issue with this plane.

1- People use different engines, with different weights, and it is impossible to engineer a plane with a single CG...

Mine are productions. Yes, cut the bottom of the cowl ring off. It's not needed and it will be fine.
