RE: Full-size 727 controlled by Futaba 8FG!

That is funny (although, I don't think the Spektrum owners will think so)

RE: Prop injury in the news

I recently had the pleasure to listen to a 2.5 hour presentation from John Nance, what a great speaker, if he ever get the opportunity, don't miss it.

RE: Which 3D plane do we recommend?

Any of the modern aerobatic models from Extreme flight, Aeroworks, Pilot RC, EG etc.... will do, pick your favorite and fly, fly, fly....

But as TOM suggested above, skip the 80cc and jump right...

Skip the battery backer, no need for it.

RE: Double Mircale Switch RX and Ing

Should be OK, but that's not the way I would go. Most people, including myself, who fly 50cc and larger airplanes, use a dual battery / dual switch setup on the receiver and a separate switch for...

RE: New 8FG Software V4.0!

RE: Hitec or Savox TG servo???

You are absolutely wrong, I have used the JR8611, the Hitec HS-5964, the JR8711 and I will absolutely say that the Titanium gears on tHe HS-5955, HS-7955 stay like new for 100s of flights on a 35%...

RE: Hitec or Savox TG servo???

There was independent testing done on FG website, that showed that the 7955 is considerably stronger than the 5955, regardless of what the specs showed.

RE: Hitec or Savox TG servo???

The CS-170 is not the same as the HS-7955, it is the same as the HS-5955 and the HS-7955 are $92.75 everyday at Chiefs.

RE: Charger question

I wouldn't buy it, I think you should save money over the next couple months and buy a good charger that is much more capable and can charge and discharge batteries. I feel you would be wasting your...

RE: DA or Us engines?

I vote for the US 41, you will learn a good lesson of never underpowering an aerobatic model again.

RE: H9 Extra 330 1/3/scale servo problem???

1 each 111 in/oz servo per wing is not enough on a 33% aerobatic airplane.

RE: How much is this Biplane by Great Planes worth?

Your problem is going to be shipping it. Will be very expensive. Your best bet would be to selll locally.

RE: Fuel Filters

Good idea on the Walbro felt clunk in the fuel can.

What do you use for a air filter, or don't you?

RE: Fuel Filters

I don't mean to speak for TOM, but I use the Walbro felt clunk. I also put a filter on my fueler, such as the one below to catch the big stuff from getting into the tank.

My question is, what...

RE: Starting Gasoline Engines - Safely

I agree, the number one safety rule (far more important than any other) is to tie down or have someone hold the tail during engine start. Myself and the guys I fly with all have 33% to 35% aerobatic...

RE: Testing Dual Battery Setup with Voltmagic

Most Giant scale guys (including myself) do not use MPI switches. They are not robust enough for Giants.

RE: New Futaba Transmitters

I've never played with a 12Fg so I don't know what the mixing options look like, but I do have a 8FG and I believe for 98% of us, it will do more than any of us will ever need.

RE: What size gauge wire do I need

The more current draw you have the more the voltage will be reduced over longer wire lengths. If you are using standard servos, 20awg should be fine. If using high end servos such as HS-7955 or JR...

RE: glow plug heater charging info

Most glow plug heaters come with their own charger. You didn' tell us what charger you have. Most modern chargers do not require you to set the voltage, it automatically detects it. 400mA would...
