Hi Harry - sounds like we may be able to make a deal. How does $125 including shipping sound? Shipping is all the way to NC so Post Office 2-Day Priority with insurance may be the best bet and should...

Wondering if you ever had any luck. With the proliferation of good laser cutters out there, this could be a fun build.

It is the Fairchild. And I thought the wing attachment looked like it could use a little strengthening. I've never seen an Orline kit before. They weren't very common in the mountains of NC where...

Hard to believe that a bunch of RC fliers can agree on anything but it looks like "add power" instead of "add useless weight" is the winner. I'll see how light I can do the build and let you know in...

G-26 and G-38 were both in the mix. You don't think the G-26 would be more than enough?

Agree on ground clearance (especially since this is a tail dragger). The Quadra was big and heavy which is why I'm thinking a smaller engine may still have more power. I'm starting to think the...

Old Orlinre Fairchild kit recommends a Quadra. What would you use?

Hi All,

I'm getting ready to start building an old Orline Fairchild kit from the 1970's. The kit recommends a Quadra. If I remember right, the original Quadra was a 2 Cu in 2 stroke. I'm...

I have the same question for an old Orline kit. It recommends a Quadra. Based on the size I think a 1.20 to 1.50 might work. I'm not sure of the capabilities of the original Quadra from the '70's.

Orline models - Wrong forum - but this is where us "Old Guys" hang out

Howdy,

I picked up an old Orline Fairchild 22 1/4 scale kit that was in great shape. Not started. Well stored. Die-cut parts not falling out of their sheets. Flat wood. Even still had the...

RE: fairchild 22

Have you still got plans? I just came across a kit really cheap. It looked mostly complete but no plans. I would love an emailed copy of the scans if you still have them available.

RE: We need RC Consumers website.

Ran by the government?! That would take around 2,336,876,812,456 pages of legislation just to determine which font to use! I hope that was sarcasm and I missed it coming through the computer!

RE: Great Planes PT- 17 Stearman ARF

Both of these answer it. With the engine that far forward, the firewall angle offsets the prop back to the center. I couldn't see that without the engine in place. And I didn't want to carve up...

RE: Great Planes PT- 17 Stearman ARF

Just for more info. I think it should be centerline. I've never built a kit or seen an ARF with an offset like this. The engine has to be centered on the thrust line of the plane...right!!?? I've...
