RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

jayvr6, I'm new at these as well. But from what Chris has mentioned, I believe he would suggest the 4200 combo. I'm using a 4900 motor at this point, and its plenty fast without even changing the...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Well looking it over I noticed this (first picture). Musta happened during my numerous hugs with the pipes and wall. After screwing the fork back in and straightening out, when I did rebuild it...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Its not the esc causing the issue, trust me on that Im using a modified mamba (switched the cap around so it has much less of a footprint, and I directly soldered the motor to the esc. It well...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Well I had fun with it, but I definitely need to get some more practice under my belt learning how to drive one of these. That and man, do those stock tires PUSH on carpet.

I did find a...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Hmm, this may add weight to using a sensored brushless motor since the throttle control is more precise. Guess I will see how the Mamba pans out (tonight is the first night I will get to play with...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Wow, this is all good information. I might add some thick grease as you say Chris. Though I might use a paperclip heated up to add a small release valve on the tube so the grease doesn't get pushed...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Thanks for the info. Is that different for plain old bikes? I could swear I turn left when I need to go left, but then so much of that is balance. What do dampeners do for this effect as I have...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Thanks for the response Chris. Another thing I like about this? Not only did you use hex head screws in a RTR, you used machine hex head screws. Its soo nice to have good screws in a kit (even if...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

I got a few more questions to ask.

-The aluminum gearbox option parts, do they include aluminum chain bearing holder tensioners as well? I noticed there is some play with the plastic bearing...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Kudos Venom. You have me impressed. Now, to learn how to drive this thing.

-Is the front tire supposed to be that much more stiff than the rear? Or did some different compounds get mixed up...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Any ideas for Great Planes and Horizon shipments? They are listing Mid/Late November still. I ordered through my LHS of course (which orders through horizon), since that is how this hobby keeps in...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Awesome. That means the Mongoose should work with its 3.2 shaft and them offering .5 mod pitch gears for 3.2 shafts. :)

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Thanks! What pitch is the pinion? .5 mod metric or .6 mod metric ? Most brushless systems are 2mm or 3.2mm for shaft sizes. So would have to find a alternative pinion than stock. Got mine on...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Will a 380 size work? A Mongoose might be a perfect match. I have no experience with bikes yet, but I assume the have to have real smooth low ends? How large is the battery area? As per ideas for...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Are there any more videos out there yet? Maybe showing 2-3 running against one another on a track?
