RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

I remember the pieces of paper moving along...

That's a great idea.

For the very most part, I think the pace of the auction, and how things were moved along went much, much better than...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

I wouldn't agree to restrict the number of items. No matter if you make the cut-off 5:30, or 2:30, people are going to start leaving early.

I had a couple items wait for the late 10 or 20 as...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

I left around 6:30, I think. There were 7 or 8 airplanes left.

Each year is different. Fewer Piper Cubs, fewer unfinished kits, fewer big engines, fewer engines over-all, fewer tired and worn...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

I have to confess, and apologize.

I know my earlier post sounded negative. For that I apologize.

I've been coming to the auction for several years now, and I want to affirm that I plan on...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

Well, yes and no.

I saw personally, at least 5 different occasions where a plane was brought from the back room, carried past the preview table, and carried to stage for auction. It never...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

I had a good time at the auction. For somebody not looking for anything in particular, I came home with:

1: Twinstar (bought for $200.00, the took the motors out and resold them on sight for...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

I seem to remember your wife being sick last year at about this time. (Or was it the year before.)

I sure (wink, wink) there's absolutely no coincidence.

If it's like the previous years...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

This is going to be an interesting auction for me..

There really isn't anything "I just gotta have."

So I'm going to just play it by ear. See what happens.

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

Yet another thought/tip.

Those who sell things, always believe their items went too low. Those who buy things think they paid too much.

If you're bidding. DO NOT GET EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

Another tip..

Don't wait until the end of your auction to collect your purchases.

This is good for you. (you don't have to wait in line) and good for them. (they clear out stuff, less to...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

Pretty much guarentee there will be lots of engines available.

Servos? Personally I wouldn't buy used servos, unless they came in a plane.

BTW.. Ken.. You're planning on making the trip.....

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

I'll be there...

I have what looks like a CAP that I bought last year. I bought it on an impulse near the end of the auction. Never should have bought it.

I think I'll sell it. I...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

Gee, I have so many smart-alek responses I could make to that statement...

1. Why not?
2. Then the auction is the perfect place for you to find one.
3. Stop drooling Mike.
4. I'm sure...

RE: Twin Cities Auction (Minnesota)

All auctions have a few common rules:

1. People who sell think "I sold my stuff too low."

2. People who buy think "I paid too much."

3. People that didn't bid think "They didn't have...
