I got a piece of silicone pipe from ebay (cheap) for my samba to stop it making a mess on the inside of the monster truck body.

The tonegawa servo is a analogue servo.
IMO the standard tonegawa (like the one for sale for £100) is too slow for steering use in a marder/monster. Might be ok if you are just bashing but its not...

I am using all 8 shocks with standard springs and 40wt oil in the front with 45wt oil in the back on my MT5.
I have foam inserts fitted to the tyres and have 2x 3mm holes in the rims with a few 2mm...

I've never had a leakage problem with my samba but I know people who have.
I managed to solve both leaks for them by making sure that the pipe wasn't at a angle to the header/manifold by adjusting...

Its a tight fit over the K&N filter and it goes to the shape of the filter after its been fitted for a while.
I used a elastic band at the small end of the K&N cone to make sure there wasn't a gap....

I use a cone K&N with a TGN (team go-nads) prefilter and it works fine.
The prefilter is always filthy and needs cleaning after a good run but the K&N is still as clean as the day I put it on.

According to my information

6250/1 are marder beetle (normal brake)

6250/2 are monster truck/beetle pro (normal brake)
6250/7 are monster truck/beetle pro (tuning brake)

What is the FG part number of your brakes?

The brakes Ive used are 6250/07 which are for the monster truck and the monster beetle pro only.
I was told not to use the normal marder brakes as...

I removed the antiroll bar before I even drove my monster truck.
With a bit of fine tuning and changing of shock oil the 8 shock setup of the fg monster truck works really well:D

I got the relay I use from maplin. As long as its a 6v DC relay with some n/o and n/c contacts any should do.
The one I got fits nicly into the receiver box.

The only thing to see in a photo of my monster truck are the wires going from the receiver box to the engine. Everything else is out of sight in the receiver box.
