RE: Elcon diff

Yes, narrow FG gear only. But it's not because of the width, on the elcon diff the gear is installed on its backside and the wide FG gear has a tapered surface on that side.

RE: Cheapest 1/5th touring bodyshell?

That would be great. Unfortunately the bulky box is much heavier. A touring car body shell with box and packing usually tips the scale at about 5 - 6 kg. Paper is a heavy weight material.[&o]

RE: Cheapest 1/5th touring bodyshell?

I think this one is our cheapest:
Honda Accord made by Ferreti at Euro 69.90 including decals. And if you can wait a week, it will become even cheaper. This body shell will be on sale during...

RE: Are the rear Lower Arms?

Almost.
6072/1 is for the Marder, 6072/2 is for the MT. But since a MT a-arm works on a Marder, I guess it's just a matter of time until the Marder version will be discontinued. The only difference...

RE: FG part number??

The come in pairs, one of each side. Still not exactly cheap for those plastic things, but a lot better than $19.00 each.

RE: Gear Carrier

Well, some of my colleagues and several customers got a spur gear problem after switching to teflon bushings in an offroad car. In all cases the problem was solved by going back to rubber. Sure,...

RE: Gear Carrier

Better not. Even though we sell those teflon bushings, we strongly recommend against their use in offroad cars. Plastic spur gears would die in a hurry ...

RE: are these any good?

The 04-series shocks are the best FG shocks, but for bashing, I think, they're a waste of money. Stay with the stock red ones and spend some time on trial and error with springs and oil.
Btw, if...

RE: FG modellsport kit

Sometime soon, yes. But how to define "soon" when talking about FG release dates?

RE: Gear Carrier

No, they will not fit. You need #6439 for the Firehammer to accept the 48T spur gear. Technically you could install the parts, but there are no pinions to fit the corresponding spur gears on a FH.

RE: What Motor Mount ?

It does fit. As long as you have a touring car with its horizontally mounted engine.

RE: FireHammer Parts Question?

You can use FG parts to replace those items.

If you use FG engine mounts you must use a FG gear plate as well! This in turn makes FG clutch bell pinions necessary.

RE: FG Dogbones?

91,5 mm center-to-center, shaft is 7 mm, ball end is 10 mm.

RE: fg 4wd

A ball drive has not enough operating angle to allow for steering and suspension at the same time. Actually it wouldn't be enough for steering alone.

RE: fg 4wd

The diff is included (with all internals) and anything more than a standard diff with plastic case would be a waste of money. A standard diff is definitely up to the task. Btw, there's no FG PN for a...

RE: The best deal

Zenoah ZG22, the predecessor of the G230/260.
Actually the MCD drivetrain was designed around the old engine, just because that was the current engine at that time. The came the new engine with a...

RE: slight issue with FG front brakes.

With stock Marder rims you have to use a longer wheel axle ( FG #8466) along with a second 9.5 mm wheel square as a spacer. With the wide offset rims from a Marder Race/Leopard standard wheel axles...

RE: FG to Baja Wheel adaptor

I hope they're not all aluminum. I would not rely on 8 mm alloy axles with M6 thread to hold the wheels on a car of that size and weight.

RE: NEW!!!!! Here's a new 1/5 scale starter car.

Taizhou Xinrui Machinery & Electronic Co., Ltd., the car is not shown on their website.
They also produce most of their engines on site, but I don't know whether this is true for this car's engine...

RE: Metal Gearing

Yes, those gears are a pair. And no, the adapter has no influence on the gear mesh, no matter who's the manufacturer. The problem is that FG gear plates have a little bit too much center-to-center...

RE: who makes this buggy

That's the FG Baja, not released yet. Basically a Marder with different body shell and new low profile wheels.

RE: Help with FG part number matching

Well, that gives you some more options for the pinion.
- FG 6046 can be used, it's the wide 14T pinion that comes with the MT. It has the same diameter as a standard 15T pinion.
- We also offer...

RE: Help with FG part number matching

For the diff you should use 6048/1 (reinforced version) and 6431/1 as the layshaft pinion (wide version).

But you mentioned going all steel and that sounds like your looking for a set on the...

RE: Baja 5B Mods-Lets See Them

And they're better than FG's tuning brakes as well. Believe it to me, we would prefer a price under 200 Euro, but it's not possible.
The combination of pads and rotors, billet levers, stud bolts...
